when we're apart

Ah, this is a rare piece of work, the likes of which I have not seen in a while. You do some good vectoring!

I'll open with the lighting because this was my favorite. in a usual vector work, you see smooth lighting and samey colors all the way through, but here you adapted to show the sunset, and it looks marvelous on RD's coat. AJ, too, looks great in the lighting.

Now when you're vectoring work, a common problem, and I found it in here, was that the ponies really have a problem being in theme with the environment, and Vice-Versa. You put a lot of effort into circumventing this though, and it really shows, for the most part, everything fits in amazingly.


For this work, I am hard-pressed to fin something to critique. The picture is so smooth, and I feel I have already pointed out what there is to tell about it, but I had a one more minor doubt.

To me, RD looked a little bit pale, and this might just be for dramatic effect, but I was sort of off-put by her almost non-existent color.

The texturing was incredible, everything was just right to represent what it was, there were no skipped details, however minor, and that kind of attention to the subtleties pays off, to be sure.

All in all, 9/10. I hope to see more work like this in future!
