Description

Well this is my entry for =Kxhara’s contest on design a “Fat” female superhero. [link]

This is Titania (name may or may not be final), a super heroine with immense, inhuman strength. She can affect the mobility of others through density, making it too difficult for them to move or at times even support their own body weight, as well as enforcing the strength of objects, like making a wall of plaster stronger like concrete and able to hold back more force. She does this through direct touch generally but her suit (which was made and often revamped by her friend you see standing next to her) amplifies her power and allows it to cover a broader range of distance. I put her in armor because I wanted something that could be flattering to a larger figure and show off the power behind it and spandex just didn’t work for me (I’m an average size girl and even I can admit spandex does NOT love my figure!) I also wanted something that could be used as a means of extending her capabilities in battle. Sure she is strong without the armor, but that does not make her invincible, she would need some protection. Now this is all in the development stage and not hashed out fully yet. I’m still looking up proper terminology and currently researching the science behind how her powers might work. I am still looking up what would be the proper wording for what to call her powers, be it something like molecular density being affect or some form of enforcing structural integrity, and then I would need to see how much I could bend that logic to my whims to fit into the logic of the universe I am placing Titania in. I’m not fond of when superhero stories completely throw logic to the wind and resort to the “it just works that way because I said so!” explanation. I want some rhyme and reason to why things in my story happen as they do, which is why I am still working things out.

The man standing next to her as previously mentioned is the one who crafted her tech suit, or armor. He is the first person to discover her powers and her first true confidante in the matter, questionable as his thought process may be at times. He's currently listed as deceased in government records, so he has to keep a low profile for now. The three people at the top aren’t really developed yet. The one in the middle keeps popping into my head whenever I think about making a series involving Titania and to be honest I don’t even know if that strangely smug looking woman is a protagonist or an antagonist yet. I’m actually quite eager to see what she becomes. The other young lady is her excitable roommate and best friend while our unusually pensive gentleman up there is the well meaning, though timid young man who has the good fortunate of knowing these two lovely ladies. I want to work further on all these characters before I leap into a storyline just yet, but I wanted you all to get a quick introduction to them. And the big side profile at the top is my leading lady Titania without her helmet on. One of the rare times I do side profile, but I am relatively proud of how it came out for a first try in this style.

Hope you all like it! ;)

I love the description. You put effort into it, unlike many others in the competition. I have voted for you.
