The Special in October

October is AWARENESS MONTH. This month, I think it would be great if we were aware of people needing commissions and people hosting contests! Sometimes it can be really hard to get your name out there. So if you know someone who needs some points or cash and has commissions open, link us to their commission info in the comments with a little explanation of why you think it is great to commission them! And if you know of any great contests going on where people can win cool stuff, link us to the contest with a little explanation of what makes the contest great! We will add it here!

"Senior" I am already at 58 years of age... Also I believe I have contributed quite a lot to the DA community, may be more as a "Public Relations" type of person and "Information Desk", not to mention using my Counselling Techniques in many ways... I am an Admin of InternationalFAQ where I do voluntary translations into Portuguese and Spanish in order to help those deviants who do not speak English. I try to keep the DA world informed through my Journals, about what is happening in this earth of ours, ref. Violence, etc... I always try to put forward deviants who do not get enough exposure... and back up projects that need help.

I had the chance to meet her when she was making her first steps in da a person who always appreciate not only all kinds of art but good ppl who are kind and give the soul to help. She is really the perfect person to give infos and help, we met each other in two groups until now and she made great work on them.

i could list dozens of reasons why Tigles1Artistry should be a 'senior' on ANY site. here are a few that come to mind immediately:
- truly community-spirited (check out her journals)
- dedicated & disciplined (all her professional training comes handy, i guess)
- artistic inspiration to a LOT of people (including me)
- helpful and encouraging (check out her comments)
- gentle and kind-hearted (she actually CARES for 'strangers from around the world')
- inquisitive, curious (like a child)
- generosity (why do you think she's so POPULAR?)
- she's always trying out new things (forget her age. "old dog, new tricks" will never apply to her!)
- incredibly courageous (doesn't hesitate to make life-altering decisions)
- a joyful vivacity that infects EVERYBODY around her!
...but mostly (and most IMPORTANTLY):
a natural, child-like enthusiasm and sense of wonder (the most DEFINING quality for an artist)

DD Suggestions

On the Edges of Kanlidivane by Hermetic-Wings is a gorgeous piece that is overwhelmingly supported by the members of this group! Tigles1Artistry says, "Ayhan is a great artist, with great concepts in mind and he provides his viewers with the story behind the shot, when it applies... He is also a fabulous friend to a lot of us, backing us up with our art and giving the right feed back instead of just faving and commenting for the sake of it..."  And she isn't wrong! Ayhan himself notes, "As a man living in a small town on the mountains I have no hobby but photographing the things around me. I am interesting with ancient culture and antic cities. So most of my gallery contains some samples of ancient places and antic cities. Because I am expressing myself with photography so my photographs are accompanied by brief notes about the true stories and special notes about my opinions." And having suggested DDs himself for a long time, with a gallery full of beautiful photography with meaningful and eloquent descriptions, it only seems like now is his time to shine! We can be sure that this will not be his last nor his best piece! But we sure are hoping that this can be only his first of many DDs!
