Thanks-for-Givin' Thunder Run

JMR was really excited at the prospect of themed races, so we jumped on the bandwagon.  Since Halloween was already taken, we've claimed the next holiday - Thanksgiving.  Come have a good time with us and bring your ponies!  There will be some finger-lickin' races and some real food for ye hungry folk in the middle of the day, courtesy of Mrs' Miller and Pembrooke, and Pembrooke-Miller.

November Special Races

:bulletgreen: Registration: November 15th, 2012
:bulletgreen: Entry Deadline: November 30th, 2012

Weather:

cold, crisp, wet
Rain holds out for morning races, but comes down sporadically for afternoon races.  Craisin Classic has a storm front moving in in the background.

To Enter:

Send a NOTE to the group with the following:
(multiple horses may be listed in one bulk note)
-Horse's Name & most current reference
-Age
-Race you wish to enter (If registering for the Craisin Classic, also provide proof of past winnings)
-Stable name and link to the stable's page or journal

Judging:

Note: This system is an exact replica of the one used at our sister stable, Pembrooke-Fields.  We consider this system to be simple and fair, since it leaves clear instructions to the qualifications and leaves nearly all of the power directly in the hands of the entrant.

Prizes

First Place winners in all races will receive a bust of the winning horse with cup or trophy.
All entrants will receive a memorial ribbon as proof of their participation and a mention in the JMR Newsletter.

*Purse money will be distributed based upon the old system of dividing the purse.  The winnings will be divided among the first six placers in every race, as follows:
1st - 60%
2nd - 20%
3rd - 10%
4th - 5%
5th - 3%
6th - 2%

As such, in a $100,000 purse, first gets 60,000, second gets 20,000, third gets 10,000, fourth gets 5,000, fifth gets 3,000 and sixth gets 2,000.  I will tabulate and note prize-winners scores when I post the results.
