Happy

//?I've been unusually happy lately (most likely due to some form of hormonal imbalance aggravated in chemistry class), and I wanted to share my happiness with someone. Seeing as there was no one to share a kind complement with, give helpful advice to, or even look at in the back corner of my lonely locked room, I decided that I would be nice to one of my story's characters. The first that came to mind was Jax. Let's take a look at what I, the author, has done to him so far:

1) Turned his old clan against him and forced him to flee into the wilderness when he was only 2 years old, giving him a Rain-Silves type scar under his eye.
2) Locked him in a steel underground bunker for 5 years.
3) Chased him with a flying, laser-firing drone ship that hunted him for five years in the bunker.
4) Gave him radiation poisoning from sleeping in a nuke silo.
5) Returned him to the outside world only to witness a massive bonfire of limbs that was his old clan.
6) Find his lynched parents hanging from a tree.
7) Watch first hand as his best friend and hunting buddy from childhood (who is coincidentally a Reono) gets his head ripped off and mounted to a pole arm by none other than the Brutal General herself.
8) Tries to save a nearby village by warning them of a Shigu invasion, only to get tackled by a Shigu scout, giving away his position, and causing a massive gash on his back.
9) Tries to save a Reono city-state fortress by warning them about the Shigu invasion, but is captured and interrogated by the Reono due to his Rain-shaped scar under his eye.
10) Escapes just in time to watch as the fortress is engulfed in flames from Shigu fire arrows (which cause permanent retinal damage to his hyper-sensitive eyes after living in a cave for five years), watches as the Reono commander's head is mounted on a pole, and Reono civilians are killed, and has an epiphany that all his life he has been fueled by revenge, and that he is worthless.
11) Realizes that Ava is NOT his friend.
12) And a plethora of horrors that shall be inflicted to the mute, part blind, orphan Sergal with no friends in the coming chapters.
