Mufasa passed frantically, Sarabi was in labor and struggling. Sarafina, Mufasa, Scar, and Zira peaked in the den. Sarabi was passed out, bleeding heavily.


Mufasa gasped and ran to her, Sarafina followed pulling the newborn cub out of the pool of blood. Zira's jaw dropped and she ran to her friend, she clung tightly to her, listening to her chest.


"She's still breathing! But if there's any hope she needs help now." Zira said.

Scar gulped, his legs felt weak. Not because of Sarabi, no, she was a nice enough lioness, most tolerable out of his brother's friends growing up... But what if it were his love in her place?

"Scar, please, you have to go for Rafiki." Mufasa pleaded.

"Please my love! You're the fastest of us!" Zira begged, her eyes brimming with tears.

Scar nodded, and with out a word, turned and dashed off, to go get Rafiki.

"She's alright, and so is the cub, a healthy baby boy. But she can never bare children again, far too risky." Rafiki told Mufasa.

Sarabi laid in the den, she silently listened to their conversation while baby Simba nursed. She sighed and hid her face in her paw, sobbing quietly.

"I'm sorry, mother...." Sarabi whispered.
