"This piece definitely shows the mystery one would associate with the word "facade". The shadows are done very well, and the expression creates an ominous mood. The snippet of a story in the artwork description, which describes a revealing of secrets and character, is both thrilling and intriguing."

"Skillfully drawn and well executed, "Beauty and Beast" creatively illustrates how a pretty facade can be used to cover up the darkness in one's soul."

Glass CoffinThe first thing she heard was her heart thumping in her chest. It was beating faster than normal, and almost seemed to be moving up toward her throat. The feeling of adrenaline still coursed through her veins and the smell of the fiery cabin still floated just beneath her nostrils.
The last thing that she remembered was fleeing from Riven. Riven, whom she thought she could trust. Riven, whom she'd fallen in love with. She couldn't quite process the feeling of betrayal that sat like a stone in the bottom of her rapidly beating heart.
They'd met at the coffee shop in town. It was a bright September morning, and the moon was still barely visible in the sky. She'd gone out to actually spend something that wasn't in budget, which was a first for her. For the most part, she'd kept to her little cabin in the woods, where she'd spent most of her life.
But that day had been different. She'd gone and bought coffee, and he was sitting at one of the little tables watching her with the oddest expre

"This is story about a girl falling in love with what seems to be the perfect man. He's wearing a facade though and isn't really what he seems to be. He's a monster and only adding her to his collection of 'dolls.'"

Sweet YouthNow, as a young mother I think I can comfortably share my opinion. Religion has never exactly been a big thing in my life, considering that my parents were happy not thinking about it. I always wondered, of course, just as any child would. But I never did know that right now, as I write these words next to my little red candle, I fear I have been wrong.
We live in a tiny one story house, a cute place I bought when I moved out from my parents. It took me a real long time to earn up the money, and while I was in college I met the love of my life in the oddest of all places. He was a theater junky, and I was a quiet forensics student who kept to herself most of the time. I can remember the smell of the grass on the breeze, the orange and red sunsets as we sat by the lake. Michigan was a very beautiful place, and right as soon as I escaped from that college with a piece of paper that dictated my life, Jonathon Gerin proposed to me.
Our wedding was average, simple and quiet. My friends came

"This a dramatic piece about a mother who never really believed in religion then she has a series of dreams that are very intense and scare her. At the beginning she puts on the facade of being normal like she's just going to tell a story of what's she learned but the story takes you on a journey of much more than that. Her dreams have meanings to her that maybe she's putting put a facade everyday."

Who am I? by Arayia by Arayia
"This shows the utter confusion most of us have. Identity. "Who am I?" is one of the most difficult questions. Although, this deviation is quite simple the red rings I think represent the struggle for identity and the black rings represent the absence of identity... a war between who you are, who you "must be" or who you want to be. This isnt a fake identity, its a missing identity."

"Well, its not dark or negative, but its a pretty cute facade. The little black cat is wearing a cute pumpkin mask."

Awkward Halloween by Akiyata by Akiyata
"This piece shows off the fun side of facades, Costumes! This is just such a cute piece that goes great with the theme and this time of year."

"
This image is very dark and sad. The way how are his eyes hiden makes me think he has something to hide. Something dark. Black and white is best colors for this mood too. Good work :)"

"I really love how this is portrayed. It might just be me, but it seems as if he's just hit rock bottom and is realizing who he really is. Like he's regretting something he's done or who he was before he came to this realization."

"This one kind of makes me feel as if other people would see this person as beautiful and normal, but inside her mind, she finds herself ugly and horrible. I'm not sure if that's what's really going on in this picture, but that's what I see."
