The great Fernando Pessoa (Portuguese poet) felt that artistic creation implies the conception of new meaningful relationships, thanks to the distancing that makes real.
Since always, the man turned to artistic creation as a weapon of communication and sometimes protest, intervention and advocacy. In the creation of the artwork, are fundamental to individual liberty and vitality of the people.
This vitality is captured by the artist, which plays an important role in the consciousness of a culture.
In ancient Greece, Plato considered that the artwork had to copy models that have soul and that by reminiscence recalls his previous experience in the intelligible world. Artistic creation is a rediscovery of the beauty that exists within the mind of the artist. Aristotle introduces the concept of "mimesis," imitation of reality, celebrating it and transforming it into perfection that she should have. The art appears as imitation or representation of nature, ideas of cosmic harmony.
In the Middle Ages, the artistic production emerges as an expression of praise to God, the one true creator.
The artist in the Middle Ages had no interest in nature in itself, but only when she was the mirror of supernatural reality. In the Renaissance, the man believes in his own creative abilities, defending art as imitation of reality.
The Renaissance breaks the medieval synthesis of art and morality, in which the first had as its sole aim to do well, and moral concern the same intention of the author.
The concept of artistic creation, explored and elaborated by philosophy and all current aesthetic encompasses not only the traditional arts of painting, architecture, sculpture, design, literature, music and dance, and, subsequently, the photography, and film, from the change from the second to the third millennium of artistic experiences thanks to digital and computing, which allow you to mix sounds, texts, images or movements. The technologies favor the development of an artistic creation Scripto-audio-visual.
