Toran (my main MLP OC)

As the title suggests, this is my main MLP OC.

Age: 20 (he is not immortal or ancient)
Pony species: Alicorn (no, he is not a royal, and yes, there is a difference)
Current residence: Ponyville
Relatives: Violet (sister) (Mother deceased, Father deceased)
Abilities: Very talented with magic (just below twilight in skill/level), Average Flying abilities

Story:19 years ago Toran was born to a Pegasus father and a unicorn mother, and his sister was born 9 years later, but something was unique about both of them, they were born alicorns, which was unusual for its time. Unfourtunelty, about four years after Toran's sister was born, both his parents met with unfortunate accidents, resulting in their untimely deaths, leaving Toran and his sister to fend for themselves. However, out of sheer pity, Celestia took in and raised Toran and Violet, allowing them to head to ponyville when they were old enough to manage on their own. Although, perhaps it was more than pity that got Celestia to take in Toran and Violet, perhaps she saw something in the two of them, an untapped potential of sorts. After all, no matter how much she may feel for someone, she wouldn't take in just any child.

How he got it: Toran was always fascinated with technology and eventually found he was very good with technology, he could take something like a radio apart and put it back together easily, he also found it easy to repair and maintain technology. This love of and skill with tech led to the power icon cutie mark that he has.

Job(s): Toran holds down a steady job as an IT guy, fixing and maintaining all sorts of technology from speakers to computers. He doesn't work for any specific company though, he is an IT guy for hire of sorts. Toran also happens to be a member of the royal guard, but as of current he is on the reserve force, not a part of the active duty roster, but he knows they could call on him at any time, so he keeps his armor and helmet in good condition, cleaning and polishing it among other things. That being said though, his training as a guard has its perks, even when he isn't on the active duty roster. He still has the authority to arrest someone if they are breaking a law, and, as a royal guard, is not limited by jurisdictions that would normally limit your average police officer. He carries his guard badge in his wallet (in much the same way an fbi badge would be carried around) as proof of his authority should he need to present it.
