Halloween Surprise“Should we go down this street? It looks awfully creepy....” my friend, Kevin Werchesterchire asked.
           
“Of course we should, Kev! Don’t tell me you’re afraid!” I exclaimed in
reply, shouldering him jokingly. “This is the best street for miles!
It’s a trick-or-treater’s paradise!”
            “That’s Zule for you,” another friend, Adam, said rolling his eyes and referring to the only name I respond to.
           
“She’s right, though. I’ve been wanting to go here for ages!” my fourth
and final friend, Skylar, exclaimed, excited. We were an odd group.
Skylar Grey, Adam Belze, and myself, Azulery Arks, had been this way for
going on three years. Kevin had only recently joined our group of

The moon's echoThe yellow moon grew tired
of flying in place,
And fell
away from the stars
that had kept it alit.
That falling beacon
left a scar in the Earth
