*Mathematician!England X Artist!Reader*

*Arthur's P.O.V*

Sometimes I asked myself if it was really worth. That maybe I shouldn't interfere with the natural flow. That it happened because it was supposed to and I'm not able to change it,nor could I have been back then.
Some might find this nonsense.I wouldn't blame them for naming my way of reassuring insane, neither would I blame them for calling me insane.
When I was younger - and way younger,I may add - a certain someone told me humans are humans because they ask.
That human existence is a big question mark as we are uncertain of things - which we want to find out or not.
That humans are meant to be like this. That they are urged by an unknown power to find more - sometimes even the forbidden things, which they find interesting above average - .Some call it simple thirst of knowledge. And once you got infected by it,you use all your remaint resources to chain letters, words, phrases which form the unit of something bigger - a theory or concept,a truism which you can not ask to demonstrate or a law which might cruely tumble down others - and still human life is too short for those who get to taste the feeling of discovery, while they reach the peak of glory.
The animal regn is apart from the human one. They both live, they both have a soul. What differences them is the fact that animals live 'in tangible and for security',while humans complicate their lives by living in a Universe called 'in mistery and for revelation'.
When an individual asks himself a question,he is aware of the fact he does it.After this little process, comes the actual answer and as cruel as it may seem, the more a human gets to know, the more he is aware of the fact he practically knows nothing.Universe is way too big to be known by such minuscule beings,a suspended second from the infinity of time.
'Dubito, ergo cogito;cogito, ergo sum.' it's a Latin saying formulated by Decartes. The theoretician concentrated in a simple saying that humans have a rational thinking,so that they doubt about the things they are not able to see.
In opposition with it,Dostoievski through his paper character,Zosima, says that love is above everything and it's the life itself. That is of divine origin and shouldn't be question.Such as a mathemathics axiom.
Maybe you ask yourselves:'Why such a long theory for nothing?'.Well, the point is that this is not for nothing. That it's about humans - how some of them are rational and how others sentimental.
And how my theories have been tumbled down by a girl.A girl with whom I have fallen in love and changed my opinion on the world. How can someone change your life to the point you don't even recognize yourself?I can't tell!

*Author's P.O.V*

The girl caressed the yellow page of the book, filled with minuscule Latin letters, her (e/c) orbs watching intently as she pointed with a slender finger a certain line.
"Why should he name the tulip after her?" the emerald green eyed male asked,a sketch book on his lap.
"Because he loved her,Arthur. And because Rosa took care of the fragile tulip, closely following his instructions, even if she wasn't accustomed to gardening. And because the plant was their baby." the female answered, her voice soothing, more like of a symphony than an explanation.
The thing being said, the Brit's eyebrows furrowed together, causing the said female to giggle.
"You don't understand,do you?" in response,Arthur shook his head.
"I guess love is still an enigma for you,Arthur!" the female sweetly said, sitting from her chair.
Before she could actually make a full step,a fiercy grasp was placed on her arm,as the British boy caught her,his head bowed and face flushed.
"But I can learn!I want you to teach me,(Name)! So that, one day,I could fully understand why words seem to bloom on your page, while we,the others, can not even think to simply explain facts!" Arthur ended, his emerald green gaze boring into hers,as if to capture the little details for a later sketch.
The female smiled a genuine smile, her lips stretching beautifully, the corners of her mouth sculpted in the skin as if they were the beginning of a tiny flower - a spring flower which waits for the right moment to be embraced by the sun rays and fully bloom, enchanting the passers with both delicate beauty and plesant smell - the once cold British male requested her help, which she was more than happy to give.

"Arthur!" a bass voice called, snapping the said boy out of his thoughts.
"Yes father?" the teenager politely asked, greeting his father.
"I've known from the very beginning that something was wrong with you,but I just let it be,forgiving you for the little mistakes. But now,as things escalated,it preoccupies me." the adult let a heavy sigh escape his lips before continuing.
"Your mathemathics grades have dropped low - not that much, but it still concerns me.You were a straight A student - no,my bad - you were above those unworthy qualificatives. And now you just spend your time ... reading?!" the older Kirkland asked, rather disgusted.
"If the problem is literature, then I'm prohibiting you from now on to read. And I don't want you to meet anymore miss (Last Name).I'm sick of her!" he ended, making his way out of his son's room.
Arthur would have stand up and tell his father how wrong he was - both in judging literature and (Name).Because if it wasn't for the girl,he wouldn't have been able to see the beauty of life, his surroundings - but more important,to know what love is and what it felt like.Because he had fallen for the poetic girl and he wouldn't change a single thing about it.
Without (Name) he would have transformed into a long row of useless calculus,a bag of formulas and theories, who couldn't bear supporting a conversation and who had to hide from the world.
He could have discovered a new cure for a certain disease if he really wanted to,but what was the meaning of everything if he didn't have with whom to share the happiness of it?
"Don't ye' worry lad,the old man will understand!Love yer' lassie and be happy.Don't let 'er go!" Allistor, his older brother said somewhat symphatetically - not in his usual moking tone - lighting a fine ciggarette, slightly coughing before leaving Arthur alone.
The blonde boy nodded his head, even if his Scottish brother was long out of the visual area - he did it more to assure himself than Allistor.

"Hey,Arthur!" the female's honey filled tone came, accompanied by a feminine laugh.
"I have just read this poem and I think you'll like it too!" she continued, unaware of the Brit's actual state.
"Really, love? What is it about?" Arthur played along, blushing at the contact of their arms.
"It's a traditionalist poem. It's about two couples - the older generation and the younger one. Both is from the perspective of the male from the younger generation, who points the differences. It's funny how he introduces the modern couple, creating a sort of median verse which sounded like..." she said, pointing her index finger cutely to her lower lip,as if in thought.
"Because your body forgets you,/But you cannot forget it!" (Name) ended, beaming a smile towards the male.
Arthur stopped dead in his track, clearing his throat, thing which captured the (h/c) haired female's attention. Now was the proper moment,as his intuition dictated. There was nothing which could actually stop him.Of course,he had his doubts (Name) loved him back, but he couldn't know without giving it a try.
"(Name) ... I ..." the green eyed hesitated, but gathered all the courage, even if he felt his body shaking in fear.
"I love you!(Name) (Last Name),do you want us to spend the rest of our little existence together?" the Brit asked, blood rushing to his cheeks.
"Are you proposing to me,Arthur?" the female asked, shock spread across her beautiful features.
"Yes!Bloody hell...I mean no.I mean partially yes!But later on,not now!" Arthur tumbled on his own words, causing the girl to laugh.
"I would love to,Arthur Kirkland! And I will eagerly wait for the actual moment when you'll propose to me...for real. And oh,yeah...I love you too!" the words being said,Arthur chuckled, framing her face with his big hands, resting his forhead on hers.
"Can I kiss my bride now?" he asked, half jockingly.
"To seal the deal,of course!~" she answered in a playfull tone, letting her body brought into a tight embrace.
They gazed lovingly into eachother's eyes before Arthur closed the gap between them, placing a shy kiss onto the female's soft lips as if he was affraid to hurt her.But as her reaction was positive,he became a little more daring, all his supressed emotions put into a such a simple - but oh,so beautiful - gesture.

*Arthur's P.O.V*

Sometimes,if you develop a special relation to someone, that person's eyes are as the turquoise depts of the sea - you can see through them the beauty of the person's soul - but that only if they allow you to.
Times change, people change too.The piece is the same, but the masks had changed. The song remains the same harmony as at the begining of time - only the mouths singing it are new.
We think - but what's more,we love and we are loved.
'Dubito, ergo cogito;cogito, ergo sum.' (Latin) = ‘I doubt therefore I think;I think therefore I exist’ (René Descartes, French philosopher, mathematician, and writer)
Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoyevsky – Russian writer ; Zosima is an abbot and he is a character from the well known novel ‘ The Brothers Karamazov’
Also, reference to ‘Black tulip’ by Alexandre Dumas *Rosa is the main character*.

Arthur Kirkland – U.K.
Allistor Kirkland – Scotland
You-You

I do not own the characters, but I do own the plot line!~
I don`t even know what has gotten into me…philosophy…myeah…I got into that phase where I start asking myself a lot of stuff…more than I should…
And I really think Iggy would do a great philosopher. :3 And a romantic too!~
Enjoy!~
