No one cares in the City of New York.

It's not that people there are bad or trapped in some kind of an evil circle that is capable of taking back their souls, leaving them as heartless zombies. They're just "distant" and the fact that you're pushing them with your shoulder trying to keep your place inside the que for tickets to Empire State doesn't make you any closer to them. You just are, there, somewhere... but this rule also applies to 20 million other people here. You're not special, and you'll feel it. Still, on top of that, NYC might be the most mesmerizing city you'll ever get a chance to walk thru. Yes, you're alone here but hell, it feels like you're free to do anything. Just find your pace. I know it's hard, especially when green lights mix with yellow taxis spread across five lane, one way streets... But trust me, it's worth it.
