"Somehow I feel like my daughter is getting married..."

This is Nagakura's line from Hakuouki Sekkaroku OVA-1, when Chizuru is going to her secret mission in in Shimabara and Shinsengumi commanders are seeing her off.

It sounded funny and somehow reminded me of a sad episode from the life of the real Nagakura Shinpachi. He was in love with a geisha named Kotsune,and in 1867 she bore him a daughter named O-Iso. Kotsune died shortly after her birth, and Nagakura could not even come to her burial, because of the beginning of civil war and the difficult times for the Shinsengumi. He managed to take the child to Kotsune's relatives in the country, gave them some money for her upbringing , and left without hope to see O-Iso again. Nevertheless, Nagakura and his daughter met much later, when she grew up and became a famous actress Ogami Kogame.

The picture is a kind of crossover between Hakuouki and one great fanfic in Russian, based on Nagakura's historical biography.

I know that it is Harada who has the "family man" part in Hakuouki game, but I wanted to show that Shinpachi had his own story too...
