Hunter isn't afraid to say what he feels or thinks, he regularly gets in to trouble for saying something about someone in a rather blunt and rude way. He doesn't believe in shutting up when he knows what he thinks is right. He likes to give people nicknames depending on a physical trait of the person, white hair = Whitey, Cat mutant = Whiskers ext. He is blunt in the way he sees the world sometimes.
He's very cocky, he knows he's strong and won't let anyone stand in his way. He's very proud of who he is and carried himself with cockatude. He's actually surprisingly friendly to those he takes a liking to, he is very protective over younger kids and those who aren't able to take care of themselves. He's got a lot of respect for those higher up in rank than him and he won't flap his mouth for a teacher. He's very loyal to those who he sees as worthy.
He's a pessimist, meaning he doesn't really see hope for his kind, he doesn't think mutants will ever have a place in the world and therefor you need to fight for a place and not just sit around and wait for things to happen. He always thinks in terms of what is the worst case scenario. He's self reliant and can look after himself pretty well when he's alone, he's survived on the streets for most of his life as a free mutant anyway.

Hard/sharp nails - His nails are pretty hard and he files them down to make them sharper to use as a weapon.
Heightened senses - He shares a lot of his animal counter part's natural adaptations. He's pretty adept at seeing in the dark and hearing faint sounds, picking up smells and tastes pretty well too.
Weaknesses:
He overheats pretty easily and can pass out from overexertion
You can blind him for a few minutes if you shine a bright light in his eyes, or deafen him if you make too loud a noise(it causes physical pain and impairment, his senses are too strong)
He can pull a muscle pretty easily if he overestimates himself.
His body burns through a lot of calories, so he has to eat a lot and regularly, sometimes even more so than the average birdkid..
History:
Hunter was born a healthy baby boy in a hospital in New York. His young mother and father weren't that rich but they were happy about their little baby boy. Though their happy future dreams never really got far considering the next day the doctor came to the baby's parents and told them young Hunter had died due to some complications.
In reality the baby hadn't died, he was taken out of the hospital by some Whitecoats, who occasionally did shady business with the hospital, providing them with money in exchange for new born babies. Hunter was just one of these babies...
They took him to the secret New York branch of Itex and there they experimented on him, giving him Tasmanian Devil DNA to create a robust and fearsome mutant. Their experiments on him weren't totally fruitless, the boy developed strange ears and a tail as well as the senses of a Tasmanian Devil and strength.
The boy spent most of his days between his cage, tests and experiments. He befriended a few of his fellow mutants and had to say good bye to a bunch of them. There wasn't much hope for them there, though one day a group of birdkids broke into his lab and released them. He escaped through the sewers and left the lab far behind him. He soon realized that he was alone and had to take care of himself, and that he did.
He learned to hide his mutations and to steal, he eventually joined up with a 'gang' of New York street kids who he befriended. He trusted them and helped them with his 'special skills'. One day he got into a fight with a rival gang and he lost his hat hiding his ears, his 'friends' saw and ran off in fear, abandoning him there. The other gang basically kicked his ass and left him there to either die or get taken by whoever cared.
An old Lady found him though and took him in and nursed him back to health, he didn't have any desire to go back to his gang or take revenge since that wasn't really his style. After he got better he left the old woman and spent the rest of his years alone on the streets only looking after himself. He occasionally went back to the old lady who helped him, helping her around the house and just getting her supplies and such.
Though one day he went to her apartment and saw scores of police cars and an ambulance, he soon found out that she had been shot and died. He grieved her death for a few weeks but moved on.
One day he got word of a camp for mutants in Australia and it interested him, but he didn't have a desire to find them, how would a kid like him even get to Australia? But then he heard it had moved to America and he did his best to track it down, finally finding it where it is now.
Additional Info:
- He doesn't form tight relationships but given the right person he might make an exception.
- He likes to swim and enjoys small places to just sit and hide, even though he was stuck in a small cage for most of his life.
- He can see really well in the dark.
- He can go for days after a good meal if he has to without eating, though it's very dangerous.
- He isn't about all brawn and no brains, he is quite smart and learns quickly.
- He'll never hit a girl.
