   Café sunshine page 3
"Manage to actually light it, brother?"  The girl inquired with a cruel smile, as if lighting the lantern was such an easy task. He grunted in response and set about arranging chairs around the tables.
"you know more of a response is considered polite in these days."  The girl stated flatly a look of annoyance pacing across her pale beautiful face.
"Oh shut up Delilah!" the boy snapped angrily. He finished arranging chairs, so they were comfortably round each table, and then slowly walked over to where Delilah was stood. Passing her, he silently opened and walked through the door behind her, into the kitchen.

The kitchen was a dusky room that had an odd feel to it, a bit like how he imagined an old saloon bar would feel. A shadowy figure stood, chopping vegetables enshrouded in the gloom, the only real light in that area came from a glint reflecting off the large chef's knife being used.

"Lit the lantern already, Stanley?" a gruff yet friendly girls voice echoed out of the gloom.
"Yeah… just lit it veronica. Erm, Irma should be in soon right?" Stanley asked cautiously.
"Of course little brother. I was only joking earlier when I said if Irma forgot the meat, we'd chop you up instead. Not that it'd kill you." Veronica said. Glints of white echoed out of the gloom as the light reflected off Veronica's teeth, as she laughed and carried on chopping.

I added names to this one as I find it a bit boring saying he did this she did that and not being able to vary it a bit.
