Born in Cortez, Colorado, *Francis-Livingston has been painting for 35 years. He is in the top ranks of American illustrators, and his work has been widely published. Francis Livingston's paintings have been exhibited in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York. Livingston was awarded both Gold and Silver Medals from the New York Society of Illustrators, San Francisco Society of Illustrators, and Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles.



Born in Hubbard, Texas in 1933, *MarkEnglish has come a long way from his early days of picking cotton and painting signs on windows of small-town businesses. He attended the University of Texas and graduated from The Art Center College in Los Angles in 1960. In 2001, Mark was awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree from The Academy of Art, San Francisco. Moving to Connecticut in 1964, he began his meteoric rise as one of America's top magazine illustrators, working almost exclusively with the largest publishers on the globe.
Mark English has been one of the leading illustrators in the US and abroad for three decades, and is the most awarded illustrator in the history of the Society of Illustrators in New York. His client list includes such notables as IBM, U.S. Park Service, RCA, GE, Ford, GM, and Honeywell. Mark's gallery work appears in many private collections and has been exhibited in solo and group shows throughout the world. In 1983, Mark English was elected to The Illustrators Hall of Fame.

*George-Pratt is a successful painter and author, whose work is in private collections in the United States, Canada, Europe, India, and Japan and has been exhibited in the Houston Museum of Fine Art and many galleries throughout the world. He received a BFA cum laude in Drawing & Painting from Pratt Institute, where he later taught for seven years. George's documentary film, See You In Hell, Blind Boy, won "Best Feature Documentary" at the New York International Independent Film Festival. George was included in Walt Reed's book The Illustrator in America 1860 - 2000. He has been awarded a Gold Medal in the Spectrum Awards, as well as the Eisner Award for Best Multimedia Artist at the San Diego ComicCon for his work on Wolverine: Netsuke.

*John-English-TAD was influenced and inspired by his early experiences in Connecticut where he was raised in the company of New York's most talented illustrators. He studied illustration at the University of Kansas with John Collier and went on to apprentice for his father, attending the Illustrators Workshops in Paris, New York and Monterey. In 1984, he began his career, and has received numerous awards from organizations including New York Society of Illustrators, Los Angeles Society of Illustrators, Communication Arts, Graphis and Print Magazine.


*Brent-Watkinson-TAD received his BA at Missouri Southern State College in 1982; in 1985 he began his career as a freelance illustrator. In 1992, he was invited to become a member of the NASA Arts Program, and has since completed two paintings for NASA's permanent collection. Brent's clients include: American Express, Cook's Illustrated Magazine, Geffen Records, NASA, Putnam Publishers, Science Magazine, Sony Music, U.S. Pentagon, Time/Warner, The Franklin Mint, Doubleday/Bantam Books, and Random House. His images have also appeared in the New York Society of Illustrators, Los Angeles Society of Illustrators, and Communication Arts. Over the past few years, Brent has been a part-time instructor at the Kansas City Art Institute, and is a full-time faculty member of the Illustration Academy. Brent was an illustrator in private practice for about 23 years, overlapping with painting for galleries around the country as well. He is a founding member, administrator and instructor at The Art Department.

*Vanessa-Lemen-TAD is a fine art painter and illustrator who has worked as a freelance artist, commissioned painter, and fine art instructor. Vanessa graduated from San Diego State University in 1995, and has since developed a solid place in the community of San Diego, CA participating in a variety of local art events, as well as establishing a worldwide presence on the web with online instruction and tutorials for The Art Department. She co-founded Studio 2nd Street in Encinitas, CA, with her husband Ron, where she taught classical foundation drawing and painting, as well as mixed media and illustration classes. The Lemens have moved their studio efforts to San Diego to meet increased demands for their mentorship and instruction, and continue to instruct on faculty for The Art Department.
