TAILS CHAPTER 5~ WHAT I WANT TO KNOW

TARTARUS ZONE ACT 1
~Road of Good Intentions

Tails and Twilight follow the shine of the Angel's Ring to look for Fluttershy. His search takes him through a dead forest and valley full of hazards and vicious monsters. The two stay vigilant and keep dodging each of the road's most fierce defences. They both see a severe lack of Eggman's influence. Along the way, Twilight starts getting her long awaited answers from Tails.

Tails: Alright, Twilight. What do you want to know first?

Twilight: The first thing I want to know is why you know my name even though we've never met before you said my name. I didn't even bother to introduce myself and Rarity and Spike said they didn't even tell you my name either. So there logically would be no reason why you would be able to know me by name other than if somepony else told you about me prior or that you've been watching me unless you were psychic! And don't even try that as an excuse. Sonic already told me you weren't!

Tails: (Dangit, Sonic. I actually WAS gonna use that excuse...) Okay. The truth is, I know you because I was watching you. But don't think for an instant I was watching you THAT way! I've been researching everything about this world. The events that went on, the inhabitants, you, your friends, your family, your enemies, and all the magic artifacts found here. Including the Elements of Harmony!

Twilight: That would make sense. But how were you watching us from another dimension? You said before that you were from another world. Did you have some sort of window between dimensions?

Tails: Let's just say "You're a toymaker's creation trapped inside a crystal ball."

Twilight: *Baffled at how cryptic that sounded* Uh... what?

Tails: I can't give a better answer than that.

Twilight: Okay...

Tails: Next question?

Twilight: That Ring of yours. When I touched it, I saw an angelic humanoid figure. She glowed a radiant shine and helped make it possible for me to help you when you were fighting my friend Rainbow Dash. Who was she? How do you have a connection with her? And how is the Ring leading us this way? How does it know where Fluttershy is?

Tails: *Flashes back to when Tails went back in time and met the Angel of Little Planet in [Sonic CD 2011]* That Angel is a close friend and ally from the same world that Sonic, Eggman, and myself come from. She is actually the guardian of Little Planet. A celestial body that floats in orbit with ours once a year for a whole month. She takes the form of a statue as a symbol of a figure that will never leave and always stay close to take care of the creatures that inhabit Little Planet. When I met her, she gave me a couple of interesting revelations that helped change the way I viewed life. With it, she gave me a tool that carried her essence to aid me later on in life. I guess you seeing her was a necessity. I'm pretty sure Rainbow Dash was going to kill me if you hadn't stepped in to save me.

Twilight: I guess it wouldn't be the first time I took a bit of the magic essence of a powerful artifact. It's just like the Magatama when I met Phoenix... *Remembers when her horn copied the Magatama from Turnabout Storm*

Tails: Who? Magatama?

Twilight: Nevermind that. So how would it know where Fluttershy is?

Tails: Your connection with the Elements of Harmony gives you a connection to your friends. Fluttershy is the Element of Kindness, right? So finding her is what the Ring is able to do thanks to your relationship with her. Just being her friend is what's enabling us to find her.

Twilight: You really have been watching everything? But why would we be of interest to you? Why would you be so serious and intensely determinded to save us?

Tails: Your world fascinates me. That's why. It's taught me quite a few things. It reminds me of how wonderful life can be. Just knowing that things have gone wrong in this world because of Eggman is what really bothers me! It's bad enough that he always tries to take our world, but this one doesn't deserve to have to deal with him. That's why! Any other questions?

Twilight: No... That's fine. I have all the answers I need.

Tails: Alright. Though it looks like Eggman hasn't been through these parts. Angel! Are you sure she's this way?

Angel: Undoubtedly. Just follow the Ring. Be sure to get more of the Rings around. Twilight Sparkle may need them.

Twilight: What? Why would I need the Rings?

Angel: My old friend put your Elements of Harmony in areas that you need a certain amount of Rings to access. She knew the madman would try to take them if he had the chance. Tails and his friend Sonic has been helping you get them back safely without Eggman findig them.

Tails: So Sonic and I have been helping you this whole time?! Wow! I thought the Rings were just helping us survive deadly hits. Oh wait! You mean the Special Zones?! Oh boy! Twilight. Did you have any trouble in them?

Twilight: Some were tough, but I was able to manage. If you're talking about the 4 colorful dimensions I went to. That's where I found the Elements with my friends helping me.

Tails: Yup... I knew it... wait! You got them all?

Twilight: Not yet. I still need to get Kindness and my own Element, Magic.

Tails: I see.

Tails and Twilight get a nice haul of Rings and make it to the end of the path at the end of the gorge and stop at a giant black gate with two highly detailed patterns and illustrations on its two doors. As they walk closer to it, they hear a loud roar. A large beast appears to stop them both. It's the giant black dog with three heads, the guardian spirit of Tartarus, Cerberus!

Tails: So that guard dog you mentioned was...

Twilight: Yeah... Cerberus!

Cerberus: ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-ROAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-RUUUUUUUUUUUUUR!!!!!!!
