Astrid inhaled. Focus. That is what she needed. Her sister was the dressage rider, the detail-oriented one, the perfectionist. She'd also spent a considerable amount of time coaching Astrid, nit-picking all sorts of little things. And it had been paying off. Astrid was happy to get through all the movements in the pattern, but unlike a jump course, dressage was about more than just 'getting-by'.

And Zena was thriving under the extra training and attention. The more Melodie coached, the more Astrid learned, and the freer Hazyna was able to move and perform.

Astrid exhaled. They were ready. She just needed to keep her head in the moment, each moment, each movement, not just the overall picture. She turned into the arena, trotting up the centerline. It was time.
