Nipping At Your Nose (Jack Frost X Reader, Part 7)

The past hour has been spent showing you around North's -as you now know he's called - workshop.  As you followed him through the chaos of Yetis and elves, he explained to you with a Russian accent that when you arrived, you'd had severe frostbite in your hands due to the fact that the melted snow that your mittens soaked up froze again.  He'd fixed them up to the best of his ability, though, so your fingers should be totally fine, soon.  Emphasis on should be.  North made it clear to you that he had done all that he possibly could to save your fingers, but it was now up to fate to decide whether they would heal or not.  

With that thought burdening your mind, you reach the end of your tour of the workshop.  North tells you that there's still one more thing to show you, though.  He leads you through a pair of massive double doors, and in the center of the room, is a globe, with small lights all over it.  

"What is this?" You ask, as your worries momentarily fall away.

"This helps us keep track of children who believe," North informs you.

"It's… amazing," you breathe, in awe.  As you watch, you can see some lights blinking out, and new ones taking their places.

"Da.  It's very amazing to see.  Especially for the first time.  Jack liked it very much too, when he first saw it."  You nod, continuing to stare, fixated, at the precious lights.  North sees that you're content staying there for the moment, and walks out to inspect the Yetis' work.  Before the doors shut, you hear him say, "No no no, the color is wrong!  Change it!"  Once you're alone, you slowly walk around the entire globe, looking at the believers in all of the countries.  Once you've come full circle, you stop again.  Right before you turn around to rejoin the others, though, you notice something.  The globe is darkening.  Lights aren't going out; not exactly.  They're being covered by what appears to be sand, as black as a moonless, cloudy night.  It consumes the replica of the Earth, and a dark chuckle comes out of thin air.  

"N-North?" You say softly, like a child who's just had a bad dream and is still too scared to call out for real.  And then, a shadow slips out of some corner of the room, creeping on the walls, circling.

"NORTH?!" You shriek, your voice shrill, as the chuckling escalates in volume.  The Russian man bursts in, saying, "What?  What's wrong [y/n]?"  Then he notices.  The other Guardians apparently heard you as well, as they too rush into the room, before stopping in horror.  You're the farthest into the room, the closest to this shadow.  And it comes closer.  It glides through the air towards you, circling your head, impossibly twisting a strand of your [h/l] [h/c] around its finger.  Into your ear, it whispers, "They know where to…"  It's cut off, though, when a small burst of blue light flashes, striking this evil being.  You turn around, [e/c] eyes wide with fear, to see Jack lowering his staff, mere steps away from you.  You didn't even hear him approach.  

"He didn't touch you, did he?" Jack fixes his icy orbs on you, his eyebrows tilted up.  

"It… he touched my hair… nothing else…" You reply.

"Did he happen to say anything to you?" Bunnymund asks.

You nod.  "He wasn't finished, I don't think, but he said that you would know where… I think he meant to say you know where to meet him?  Or find him?"  

Jack mutters, "Oh, we know where to find him, alright.  The problem is, we don't want to go there without knowing why."
