Supposedly, the ''end of the world'' happens today. And I wonder why I even bothered with the exams. Perhaps I had a feeling we might live through it. Don't you think so? How does it feel to have survived the... fifth (or was it sixth) end of the world? I actually feel ancient! :D

I used to have a problem with a photo ''Play me a song'' - thewitchofgrich.deviantart.com… which for some reason couldn't be opened properly, but with the help of my friends here on deviantArt, the problem was fixed and so I wish to thank everyone who offered suggestions and kept me informed. It was a very kind gesture. :D It opens just fine now, so thank you everyone :D

HACKER ALERT!
Better safe than sorry, right?

Copied message:
There's a hacker going around on DA, he's getting into peoples accounts, and even worse, he deactivates them completely. There is a way to avoid this though, if you ever get an email from nobody@Da.com or something like that, asking you to change your passwords, don't do it, it's a trick to get your account hacked, just delete the email as soon
Below is a message (from Microsoft I believe) that is warning people of a massive hacker, and the steps you need to take to stop him from getting you. I would like to thank for getting this info.

IF A PERSON CALLED SIMON ASHTON CONTACTS YOU THROUGH EMAIL DON'T OPEN THE MESSAGE. DELETE IT BECAUSE HE IS A HACKER!!

Anyone using Internet mail such as Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and so on. This information arrived this morning, Direct from both Microsoft and Norton. Please send it to everybody you know who has access to the Internet. You may receive an apparently harmless e-mail titled 'Mail Server Report' If you open either file, a message will appear on your screen saying: 'It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful.'

Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC,

This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon. AOL has already confirmed the severity, and the anti virus software's are not capable of destroying it . The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself 'life owner'..

ART THEFT?!

There is also one more thing I wish to mention, concerning a certain website. I saw this in a journal of TwilightPoetess - twilightpoetess.deviantart.com… and later in DarlingMionette's - darlingmionette.deviantart.com… and I think it's not right.
Quoting TwilightPoetess[ twilightpoetess.deviantart.com… ]: ''there's really no clear linking or crediting to the original artist going on. Yes, it generally says by "such and such" on deviantart, but some of the longer usernames get cut-off halfway through.  Also, there are places where you can "leave a comment" for the artist...which leads to another problem, being WE--the original artists--won't be notified when someone comments on our artwork on that site--only the host will get notified.  And that's problematic''
And quoting DarlingMionette [ darlingmionette.deviantart.com… ]: ''Note: It's been pointed out to me now that this site also has been crawling places other than DeviantART, including but not limited to:  IMVU, The Endless Forest,  Nabyn, Tumblr, Youtube, Photobucket, The Lion King Fan Art Archive etc. So if you go by other usernames, check those too!''

When you open this website, Korean Drama - www.dramakoreaterbaru.com/ you can find your photos posted there. Just type in your username and see whether they had taken something. Here is mine - www.dramakoreaterbaru.com/thew… Certainly, they mentioned my account and ''credited'' me, but I got no note and I wasn't asked for permission. Also, none of the links lead back to the original work posted here, on deviantArt. It is really frustrating that people consider everything on the Internet as rightfully theirs. This is wrong! I don't have anything against download, as I do it myself when I like a picture so much, but I don't use anything I download anywhere and if I wanted to, I'd definitely ask the owner of the picture for permission.

It is not right. I still haven't decided what to do.

Until next time,

p.s. one of the annoying things for me is Pinterest, as users seem to forget that the Pinterest ToS says that you can only post YOUR OWN work (and you give Pinterest some rights in relation to that of course).
Naturally, people don't read and then they "pin" other people's work, breaking the ToS, and Pinterest doesn't care.
Only if you personally find it and report can you maybe get the works removed, but again, you have to weigh how worth your time that actually is.

In general, if people leave my name/link, I won't bother.
If they don't... grrrrr
