My favorite course in high school was Technical Drawing. I would draw in pencil or pen images such as this and some optical illusions. It was the stepping stone to drawing blueprints 3D Models, etc. This took on a life of it's own and I went with it.
I started with these params tweaked from DsyneGrafix Can You Improve This.
