All Ponies are the Best Ponies

But Some are more Best than Others.


Since I'm not allowed to post the next installment of Kaiju Wars until my writer/editor gets home from work, I thought I'd whip this picture into shape and post it! These are my three favorite of the cast of My Little Pony, clockwise from the top; Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, and Pinkie Pie (with her pet alligator, Gummy) These started as doodles while I was contemplating the racial differences between the three races of pony (I'm a dork like that, Ok?) here's what I came up with.

-Earth Ponies tend to be more strongly built, and have a smaller amount of magic when compared to the other two. because of this, Earth Ponies tend to be more resourceful and clever than others. Most Earth Ponies have a deep connection with the land they live on, and mainly use their magic to aid them in crop growing.

-Pegasi are more lithe and agile in their body structure and have more magic than Earth Ponies, but they can only use this magic to fly, and cannot focus it for any other task. They can't fly without the magic because their wingspan is far too little to counteract their body mass. The wings provide propulsion and direction, but magic provides the lift. In addition, they have hollow bones and feathers all along their body.

-Unicorns are the most magical of all races (barring the Alicorns, rare godlike ponies with features of all three races) They can focus their magic through their horn, like sunlight through a magnifying glass, and can use it to perform a wide variety of tasks. These include levitation, teleportation, transfiguration and even combat magic (performed by firing a laser-like blast of light from the horn) However, most unicorns cannot do all of these, and only the most highly trained and talented unicorns can do them with ease. Unicorns also have cloven hooves and somewhat more pointed and elegant features.

To anyone that was not bored to death by that little lecture, you get a cookie! to anyone who dislikes ponies, fear not, for I will be back to drawing enormous terriffying kaiju is just a little bit! (boy, the contrast in my gallery is just staggering!) if this pic gets enough love, I may draw the other three in this style too.
