It's been a big year! In England: our queen celebrated sixty years on the throne and we hosted the Olympics; America was struck by hurricane sandy; Korean band Psy released Gangnam style and became the first ever internet videa to reach one billion views, Austrain skydiver Felix Baumgarter broke the sound barrier and we lived through the end of the world, as predicted by the Mayans.

Every month there will be a contest for the photo that best represents that month, prizes include a feature like this one: amatuer-artists.deviantart.com… and a place in the massive end-of-the-year feature. Old deviations are allowed, and you can start submitting on the 1st of each month.

Admin feature
I love featuring members. Surprising deviants that perhaps just joined our group for a chance to showcase their art, and ended up with a whole little section on themselves. However, it's so important to celebrate the deviants who joined this group in order to help us, the deviants who give up their time selflessly; for no reward.

The Super Long Break is Over
Hello All,
Once again, I apologize for the lack of participation on my part. I have been without internet since October of last year, and the DeviantArt app doesn't let me access my groups.
However, the issue will be resolved by the end of the month. Me and my family are packing up and moving back to the East Coast USA, and I'll be able to purchase internet that doesn't take 10 minutes to load a page.

Back in Business - Admin Search
Hello all! (or the few people who are still active in the group)
I apologize for the direction this group has taken. I had a baby, and during the pregnancy and up until recently, my life has been crazy and I went for months at a time without even being able to touch a computer. So, I've been cleaning up and reorganizing the galleries, because I had an admin helping me out that accepted absolutely everything, even in to the wrong folder.
That being said, I'm looking for an admin or two to help run this group with me! Drop a comment or send me a note if you'd like to help out!

Hey y'all! Long time no journals or features! I apologize for my absence, I've had a ton of issues in my personal life, and then for the longest time I had no steady access to internet. So, everything should be back in order now and lets get this group active again, shall we?
I went through and deleted all the members with slashes through their names, meaning that they are no longer members of DeviantArt.
Since the last time I did a feature, no one suggested a theme. I chose a personal theme for this week, New Beginnings/Starting Over Suggest a theme for next week in the comments! :D
