About

Blaidd was bought by the Saer family from a private Kinský breeder in the Czech Republic when she was 3 years old. She was originally not for sale and was planned to be used as a broodmare, but when young Dylan came to purchase a Kinský horse, the only one that managed to catch her eye was spirited little Blaidd. Dylan managed to convince the owners to sell Blaidd to her, and she was transported to Thundering Echo Stables in the United States a week later.

Under saddle, Blaidd is a confident and calm mount. Point her in any direction, over any jump, and off she goes. She has proven to be an excellent cross country horse over the years. She adores water and is often ridden bareback to ponds for a swim; she'll even play around in the water trough, if she's in the right mood. Blaidd is quite affectionate as well, happy to nuzzle those around her just because, so don't be surprised if she rubs on you after offering your hand! Dustin, Dylan's father, often uses Blaidd as a student mount in the riding lessons he teaches since she is very well-trained and possesses a gentle and willing nature.

This mare rarely spooks, but the one thing that really throws her off is traffic. Though she doesn't mind a cars or two, too many zipping around cause her to feel overwhelmed, and it grows very difficult to keep her focused. Riding her in an area near a busy road can prove troublesome.

She and Dylan have enjoyed a fairly successful career so far, and for now they've put a pause on showing. Blaidd's foal Cynta has been keeping her plenty, though!

River and Blaidd are an inseparable pair. River is the only horse Dylan has ever seen Blaidd get close to, let alone let get so close to her foal. The stable likes to say the two mares are the married couple of the herd.
