The stoic teacher stood before his students, looking them over with a careful eye. New or old, they used to all look alike, but now he began to see more promise in the older individuals that had survived grueling years in this establishment, as he himself had also done. He had a reputation among them, as they themselves did with each other. All of their deeds varied from murders, to strong loyalties, while he was marked a killer of his students and a butcher of his own children. He felt no remorse for either of these labels. As the last student took their seat, his eyes narrowed coldly.
“It has come to my attention that I speak to each and every set of you pathetic creatures with the same expectation. Some of you may find this repetitive, but since my views on you have not changed, neither shall my words.” The flickering bloody flames of each wall mounted black tallow candle skims over the skins of every student, creating the impression of blood stains where there truly were none. By the end of the year, every softhearted and unstained child in this room would carry a dark story and crimson stained finger tips.
“I expect none of you to succeed in this school. I dare you to prove me wrong. You are fully welcome to die trying.”

CRS 101 - Introduction to Dollmaking
“I am pleased to inform you that I do not have to deal with you for this class. You will direct your learning this year to Wren, a third year student full qualified to show you how to make dolls.”
CRS 102 Introduction to Fetishes
“Anything can house a curse, even the chairs you are currently sitting in. You can rest assured that you will find many things in this school that are cursed or charmed. There are certain candles in this school with a thin line through them that, when lit, spout water that freezes on contact. The candle only extinguishes when it has piled ice high enough to smother itself. You will all be going through the school and finding objects with supernatural powers. When you have finished, bring the object to me, if you can, or inform me of it's whereabouts. There are many rooms of this school and many levels. Refrain from getting lost, and do scream if you are in danger, I'm sure someone will hear and help.”

CRS 103 Hex Signs
“Only a fool would walk around this campus without the ability to protect themselves from the dark magic that lay in wait for the ill prepared. You have made a wise choice of classes. All of you shall be studying and practicing outside of this building. I shall be giving you your assignments and any assistance that I can, but it is well appreciated that you keep from using any protective magic in this building, least it feel the need to protect itself. It is rather tempermental. This is no such place for spells against hexing. I would like each of you to look into gods and goddesses who are focused on good magic, and study them. Lastly you shall be choosing a weak curse and inflicting it upon yourself or a partner. I against emphasize that this should be a weak curse, for I will not be assisting you in the actual process. Intermediate Classes
CRS 202 - Ritual Components
“Ritual components are important to each and every curse you place upon another. Mistaking your herbs or using the wrong stones can result in a failed hex or a backlash that would be most unpleasant. In this class you will be learning to not make simple errors. Your first task is to find three herbs used in hexing rituals, and state their effect and where they grow. I will be lenient and allow you to research any form of ritual involving magic. My leniency will mean that I expect exact results.”

CRS 203 - Ancient Grimoires
“ This class shall have no introduction. I wish to see how you do on your own. Find the definition of a grimoire and then visit the library. Return with a grimoire and know it's name and who wrote it, along with specific details about the writer. You will be using these books in later classes.”

CRS 204 - Ancient Curses
“I seem to have to send many students to the library this year. Each of you shall be researching large area curses, such as curses placed upon villages and castles. I would like you to each select one, give the name of the area, who was angered to inflict the curse among their people, and what the curse was. You will find things similar to angering the natives by settling on their land, and having the settlement be cursed to burn three times. Do be thorough, and remember that the books have been known to drag you into them, so remember what you have learned in CRS 102, and know when you see a cursed book before it is too late.”

Advanced Classes

“Tell me of spiritual entities that are important in the real of magic and curses. If you tell me of the deceased, give examples of why such a spirit would be useful to you. Otherwise you should be looking into gods and creatures of the incorporeal world.”

“In the world of hexing, harm is
unavoidable. Illness can be spread or kept to an individual, made
deadly or kept mild, it can make the difference in wars or even in
swaying the masses. You are to think of a hypothetical disease that
you could curse an object to have, what that object would be, and how
you would use that object to infect a large group of people. Good
luck, and do not actually try.”
