Romano had his back to Feli as he searched through the basket for any notes, or items.
"F-fratello..." Feli whispered.
"Hm?" Romano grunted, a bit frustrated until he found a note. "Aha!"
Veneziano gave his brother a startled, yet confused look as he watched the older Italian open the note.
"Angels do not die...They are merely reborn.." Romano read out loud. His eyebrow knit together as his expression changed to one of confusion.
The younger Italian brother's eyes began to shine with fresh tears. "Fratello..."
Romano looked up from the weird message and looked to his brother.
Feliciano adjusted his sitting position to show the baby to his older brother.
Romano's eyes widened as he whispered..."_____"
The two Italians took care of the growing child for many years. But she never seemed to remember them.
The hope that had once engulfed the younger Italian was extinguished when he found out. The pain of heart break seemed to steal away his smile.
"Feli...." the seven year old girl whispered. "What's wrong, Feli?"
"I-..." he began in a choked voice. "I never got to tell the most beautiful girl I'd ever met that I loved her."
Pity swept across the young girl's face. "Why don't you go find her?"
Veneziano paused to take a deep breath. "I did...but she doesn't remember me..."
The small girl reached out and grasped the Italian man's hand tight. "Well, you have me and Romano! So don't let her get you down!"
Her words were so sweet yet they caused him so much pain as he forced a smile. "Grazie...bella."
Smiling sweetly and falling for the happy facade the Italian man had just put up, she made her way into the kitchen.
Heavy foot falls came over to the younger Italian. "She'll remember...some day."
Veneziano didn't respond and merely stared at the doorway of the kitchen.
Years went by and Feliciano's pain only seemed to increase. The sweet smile that once plagued the younger Italian's face, was wiped away and his eyes lost their loving luster.
Romano felt at fault. He felt that if they had never gotten into the car accident that everything would be okay. With this mindset he did everything he could to help his brother feel better.
The metallic fork bounced and clanged against the glass plate as Romano carried it into the room where his little brother sat.
"Veneziano...I brought you some pasta..."
Feli's dull amber eyes looked over towards his brother. "Thanks...but I really don't want any right now..."
Shock shook the older brother's body and he nearly dropped the plate. "B-But Veneziano...You love pasta."
The younger Italian shook his head and whispered. "I'm not hungry.."
Romano nodded slightly and left the room with out another word and pain stung through his chest. Guilt was eating at the older Italian, and it wasn't hard to see that.
As more years came and went they watched the young girl blossom into a beautiful woman. She didn't look different, and in fact mirrored the lovely angel she once was.
"Can we go for a trip?" the sweet girl pondered before taking another bite of pizza.
Romano was about to decline when an idea struck him. A small smiled formed on his sauce stained lips. " Of course, _____. You, me and Veneziano will go to a place in Austria."
The girl's (e/c) orbs widened with excitement as she jumped into Romano's arms. Her arms wrapped around him in a sweet embrace and she buried her smiling face in his chest.
Feli watched and then looked to his brother's smirk. He knew that expression all too well and began to wonder what his brother was up to.
Romano never explained anything, instead they started packing and went on their way to Austria's lovely home.
`"Vhat do you vant?" Austria scowled as he answered the door and saw the two Italians.
With a huff Romano swallowed his pride. "We need to ask for permission to enter your woods."
Austria blinked a couple of times, having expected something much worse. "Ja, go ahead..." he waved them on.
The three walked for what seemed like 20 or 30 minutes before they reached a clearing.
"Does this jog your memory, _____?" Romano inquired.
The girl entered and began to wander around, not answering his question.
Feli looked at him older brother and looked like he was about to sob.
"I-It's familiar...why?"
At those words Veneziano held his breath and a small light flashed through his eyes. He now understood his brother's motive for bringing them here.
"Good." The older Italian praised as he entered the clearing, with Feli not far behind.
All three sat in the center and listened to the silence for a bit.
Feli watched with the little sliver of hope that he held as the girl began to have a look of realization, but to no avail.
Her expression soon faded and she smiled at the dull eyed Italian across from her.
A sudden loud noise shook through the whole forest around them.
Both Romano and _____ glanced around the edges of the clearing until they heard a soft thud.
The young girl's head whipped around in horror as her eyes locked onto the younger Italian's form. He was laying on the ground and bleeding from his chest. She watched at he grasped the area over his heart tightly before she grabbed him and cradled him in her arms.
Romano was already running back to Austria's house to retrieve the first aid kit.
"Be....lla...." Feli whispered out in choked pain. "Please...do...don't cry."
The (e/c) eyed girl hadn't even noticed that her eyes began leaking glistening tears.
Veneziano's shaking hand made it's way to her cheek and began wiping away the little drops of liquid.
_____ blurted the first words that came to mind. "I-I'll do anything to save you, Feli....I-I can't lose you!"
By now Feli's already dull eyes were blurred as a smile graced his face. "Y...you don't need to....keep that promise anymore....bella"
The young girl didn't understand what he meant, but before she could ask Romano had returned with the first aid kit.
The older Italian tore off his little brother's coat and began to bandage him up. From time to time he'd add pressure to the wound to slow the bleeding, but to no avail.
The younger Italian's eyes no longer held any life and _____ held him close. A sudden wave of immense pain struck the young girl as realization set it and she buried her face in his chest.
"I...I remember now, Feli."

-Language of curses and flowers-
"________! Where the hell are you!?" Lovino screamed at the top of his lungs as he squirmed through the crowd of different strangers in the plaza.
It was already lunch time and Lovino was already getting impatient. The high pitched plead of his younger brother to look for you still ringed in his ears and it wasn't helping. 'Where is that stupid ragazza? She couldn't have gone too far' he said to himself as he jumped up to see if he'll see any familiar looking girl.
"Man, I'm so hungry
I could eat everyone here" you complained as you placed your hand right above your stomach. You mentally laughed at yo

South Italy and Reader-Tomato Thief[PART TWO]
Blush staining your cheeks, you allowed the hotly tempered Italian drag you across the tomato field. Quite aware, of how warm his hand was, and how well it fit with yours. You periodically glanced at Lovino, before quickly looking away at something else.
Muttering lowly curses underneath his breath, he pulled you along a stony path. Which seemed to be leading you, up to a villa. Taking quick note of the vines that climbed up the stony walls, and the beautiful workmanship put into the house, you tried to look around Lovino’s homely abode. But found yourself, rather transfixed on the cursing Italian instead, especially since he impatient

Thump!
“Ouch!” you squeaked as you scrambled to get yourself out of the tangled mess of sheets that wrapped around your body. Fortunately for you, you managed to find the end of the sheets and quickly tugged it away; freeing your body from the ocean of mess. However, your body quickly learned what European weather felt like as the icy cold pricked your skin as you made direct contact with the floor.
“Gah! C-cold! Dammit!” you cursed and quickly shot up, hitting the bedside table and nearly knocking the vase to the ground if your quick reflexes hadn’t kicked in just i

That was such a sad ending! But it was really sweet.
