As one of the highest ranking members of Iyek's botanical guild, Returu holds the rank of warden, though she no longer does this full time as her draks require her attention. She now spends much of her time chronicling new plants as well as partaking in special and difficult missions. Though she is at the guild much less than others, there are many who seek out her knowledge and help.

Freelance Scribe/Chronicler
As well as working for the botanical guild, Returu also works for Calador Bel'dalur, helping him to translate old books, and write new things down.

Part time Ranger
Recently the rangers approached Returu asking her to help them, making her a part time ranger. For the most part this is monitoring new drak owners and helping them, she has also been given the responsibility of re-homing a few draks as well.

Build: Returu is quite slim, and it sometimes seems as if she doesn't eat enough for the amount of running around that she does.
Scent: Gentle floral scent, primarily heather and rose, with undercurrents of smoke and fire and parchment. Quite calming.

Returu's hair is naturally all black, her hair slowly turns white as she inherently builds up magic, though for many years it has remained as a single white streak.
Clothing: As seen above, this is Returu's normal clothing, though she has various different shaded segments, whilst on missions though, she normally wears dark green leggings and a brown waist length top.
Scars/birthmarks: Returu has faint scars on her upper arms, as if something with sharp claws/talons had hold of her; as well as a tiny spider shaped birthmark on her lower back.
Accesories:
Aegis Dagger - A dagger that Returu has possessed since childhood, it seems like many other daggers, though this one has never dulled, on its side a single rune is engraved, the rune is Sky'ralin in origin and it roughly translates as Aegis - to protect. It was forged by an aardwolf Werekin, as part of a price for her magic in Skyrael, and given to Returu as a gift.
Armband - A stunning gold armband with several Rurite stones (dark green gems with silver flecks) engraved amidst the gold. The sigil of Turure decorates the band.

Nature:
Returu is remarkably friendly and outgoing with others, not being bothered too much whether they be of another race, as she believes that it isn't race or species that defines a person. She is exceptionally level headed most of the time, knowing fine well that losing her temper or panicking doesn't help, though sometimes she can't help it. Returu has quite devious and mischievous nature, pulling pranks on those she knows and those she doesn't; though it isn't as prominent as it once was. Sometimes under duress, Returu can become withdrawn and untalkative.

Returu's fear is the thought of been truly alone, of not been able to 'touch' those she cares about.

Abilities

Physical:
Strength - Originally Returu physically wasn't very strong, though as a werebeast, and a puredrak at that, she is now very strong, however, she is still weaker than another werebeast would be in icekin form.
Speed - Returu has always been quick on her feet and exceptionally agile in a fight, even now with her greater strength she still prefers using speed to her strength. She has brilliant endurance and is capable of running for several miles.
Senses - All of Returu's senses have been heightened thanks to becoming a werebeast.
Weaponry - Returu's preferred weapon is that of a pair of curved daggers, one of which is the aegis dagger, and the other a more simplistic design. The two daggers allow her to fight enemies using her speed accuracy and stamina. As well as the daggers, Returu is proficcient in the use of a jō, and is easly able to disarm most opponents with it.
Other - Returu heals at a much faster rate, and though she can swim, she isn't the strongest as she has a deep seated fear of deep water.

Magical:
Pyromancy - With her becoming a purefiredrak, Returu has gained access to the fire magic inherent within that species. Though at the moment it is at its most basic, with Returu only been able to heat up things as an icekin.

Runic Magic - Returu decided to learn runeology, as not only does she instinctively 'feel' and 'read' runes, but she understands them in a way very rarely seen. She specializes in the Sky'ralin runes of Skyrael, these were said to be goddess Turure's chosen runic system. The runes also serve as an outlet for the magic she builds up.

Silvamancy (Wood) & Terramancy (Earth) - Returu doesn't actually use these forms as magic as per say, rather it is the 'sense' of the living world that she works with.

Ritulism - Returu possessed some innate form of this magic, though only in conjunction with the malevolent spirits of Skyrael, leading to the belief that it is her connection to the city that permits her to hear and speak to the agonized souls that dwell there, otherwise she is oblivious to almost all other spirits.

Note: Returu builds up magic naturally within her body, unfortunately she seems to have no natural outlet for her magic. As a child this built up to dangerous levels, leaving her sire with no choice but to place a spell on her which kept draining her of her magic; though this did supply him with a continuous source of magic, it was also used to protect the girl as there was a possibility it could kill her. The dagger, or the rune engraved upon it, has acted as an outlet since Skyrael's destruction, since she has only just recently learned that she has magic, though she can only use runic magic as they act as outlets.

Skills:
Empathy - Returu possesses exceptionally strong empathetic skills, making her highly sensitive to others emotions and well being, her empathy seems to aid in her taming and controlling of creatures, specifically her draks, she also uses this ability to help others, though its a passive trait normally.
Languages - Returu can speak both the gryphonic language, though it has been noted that she sounds much like a chick when she does, and she is slowly learning the Nyarin language due to her friendship with the exiled nyarin Greshka.
Memory - Returu has alsways possesed the ability to remember everything she has ever seen, heard or done, though actually recalling it can be a bit of a problem. Just prior to Skyrael's destruction the runes dumped an immense amount of information, though at the time her mind couldn't process it and 'misplaced' the information until she needed it, she has slowly began to access it, within the information is several unusual nodes of knowledge.
Avatar - Returu is Turure's chosen avatar, and has been since Returu was a young child, though she has only made her presence known recently. As the iskariff's avatar, Returu has gained access to some unusual abilities, one of which is the gift of 'locking' or 'freeing' memories within others, though she has never actually used it before. Though it seems she has used it upon her self to 'forget' most of her past at Skyrael.


Bio:
Returu is currently one of the strongest members of the guild, to which she is very loyal. Recently, she had a meeting with Kai the guildmaster, requesting to leave, since she was struggling to keep up with the work load, however, Kai chose to keep her on, reducing her work load, and using her more for chronicling and reporting and large scale missions. She also works for Calador Bel'dalur, as scribe, translating older manuscripts. Recently she was forced to go to the Skyrael ruins, where her past came fully into the light, though only Garth knows at the moment. Whilst there she met with Skrael, the wingless gryphon from her past, that saved her life. She brought him home and with him Amaya a taishogun mare. Recent excursions have brought to light several facts about herself and her past and she is slowly coming to terms with them.

History:

Born in the long lost city of Skyrael, Returu was one of two children born to Torin and Aliya Rasa'hyne, the other child was her elder brother Toran, who was older by at least 11 years, though her entire family possessed magic, she herself didn't seem to have any aptitude for it, not even able to do the most simplest of magic. She struck up a quick friendship with Jaiel, a gryphlet the same age as her. As well as Jaiel, Returu regarded Skrael Darur as her uncle, since the skylord spent plenty of time looking after her. As she grew, she began to pull pranks on the citizens, though most merely shook there heads at the whims of an errant child. Strangely, since Returu possessed no magic, she seemed to have no trouble getting the Sky'ralin runes to activate, giving her unlimited access to all the city. Among many whom she 'played' with was boy called Mat, who she ended up having several little adventures with him, due to certain circumstances though she never saw him for many years. She spent many hours with her father, him trying to teach her magic, though she always came out of these tired and pale, with little memory of what had happened. When she was 4 or 5, the tragedy of Skyrael happened, wiping out the great city, and all those that dwelled within its confines. Returu survived, but the price paid was the great gryphon Skrael's wings and later his very sanity. Several sets of runes augmented the gryphon's abilities allowing them to survive, rather than die painlessly and peacefully within the ice.

When Returu woke up from the frozen sleep almost a 1000 years later, it was to find the city in ruins and the runes inactive. She was also greeted by the sight of her 'uncle', whose wings were no longer there, and he was no longer fully sane. Though not scared of him, the spirits, the essence of those who had once lived there grew too much for her young mind, as they tormented her and the gryphon, leaving behind Skrael her protector, she ran and didn't stop till she was as far away from Skyrael as she could get.

Finally she reached the city of Iyek, though she had no idea that was its name, her boots and clothes were torn and bloody and she was hungry, she managed to scavenge food and water by stealing and begging for a while before several members of the botany guild found her, though not wanting to trust them, she was weak and starving. Slowly she opened to up to them, though when they asked her about her past she remained silent. They did manage to get her first name from her, but she remained adamantly silent about her last. Eventully, Cairn Kujisa the old guildmaster of the botanical guild gave his own last name to the orphan girl.

As the years past, Returu showed an aptitude for plant life, and her adoptive family encouraged that, so it was no shock to the Iyek guild that she became an integral part of the botanic guild. For the past several years, Returu has operated as warden, as wardens are dispatched sporadically and can easily work from her home. When Cairn and Niles Kusjisa, two of her 'adopted' family died whilst out on a mission, she was bequethed quite a large expanse of land on the outskirts of Iyek as the only survining 'Kujisa'.

Returu had heard of draks in passing as a child, but was one of the first icekin to try for one of the tame drak egg. The egg, much to her delight warmed to her touch when she showed confusion at eggs responses. Shortly after returning home, the egg hatched, revealing the baby ice drak, Ryurii who became her loyal friend.

Since acquiring Ryurii, Returu gained several more draks, many of which where Ryruii's offspring and a couple of others. During one of her missions she encountered Meer, the forest gryphon where she worked side by side. She also started exploring in the cave systems, where she met and befriended the wounded Nyarin Greshka, an exile of his own species, leaving the cave system she offered her own home to Greshka, he chose a small spot around the back and Returu trained her draks not go near it in deference to Greshka's fear of them.

Among her explorations, Returu encountered the wild dark drak, who through luck and circumstance, managed to tame him, though introducing him to the rest of her draks proved interesting, thankfully they coon managed to get along, though she now has an over protecting moody dark drak looking after her. Due to the amount of draks she has, Returu chose to try and drop her rank as warden as she was struggling under the work load, Kai however, said that he didn't want to lose her and kept her on as warden, albeit with a smaller workload. He also set her up with a job for Calador Bel'Dalur as a scribe.

Fate it seemed, wanted to bring Returu's past to life, and seemed to conspire to bring her to the newly discovered ruins of Skyrael. A simple shopping errand sent her to Tinker's Toybox, and then a heavily pregnant air drak forced her to Skyrael, just in time to protect Garth for Skrael, the gryphon she'd abandoned all those years ago, luckily the gryphon remembered her and her blood fully convinced him.

Their reunion was short lived as the twisted spirits of Skyrael attacked them, luckily a taishogun mare, who had befriended Skrael several years before assisted them, and luckily they managed to leave the ruins. Eventually, after an emotional time, they made it back to Returu's house, where she told Garth some of her story, before meeting Skrael's Iskariff son Sithryn,

Parting with Garth, Returu visited the north lands upon sensing a familiar type of magic, there she encountered Tsillah, and to her surprise, her father whom she long though dead, as they followed him they eventually learned why he did what he did, and Returu met back with her mother. She spent quite a bit of time with he mother, showing her where she'd grown up and those that had looked for her, Returu told Caella that she would always be welcome at her home, as long as she didn't mind her 'hoard' of draks.

While accompanying Sithryn to the magus guildhall, she met back up with Torin, and eventually invited him back home, as he wanted to give her some books/journals that may be of interest to her. She hadn't been back long when her 'headaches' started up, though this was much worse than the others she'd had. It was then that she learned that the headaches were in fact her magic building up, as for some reason she didn't seem to have an outlet for it, so the energy built up to dangerous levels. At this point the magic would of killed her, fortunately Torin was able to help, using his own knowledge and magic, as well as Rrylka's blood to turn his daughter into a werebeast, though it was not only his own abilities which allowed this. Turure also interfered, and had been binding the magic for years, allowing the icekin to survive. With her magic now having an outlet, Returu became slowly aware that she was Turure's avatar, though she still remains silent about the Goddess. Since becoming a werebeast, some of her tasks are easier, and rather than the drak remaining a separate entity, they are slowly merging together..

The timelapse refers to a period of time when her, Rrylka, their draks as well as Skrael and Amaya were out of phase with the rest of CeCatl, trapped within a magically constructed 'bubble'; and despite many attempts at breaking it, they all failed. During this time, Returu and Rrylka became mates, and even had a child together, though that period was painful as both Returu and Nahuel almost died during complications in childbirth, since then Rrylka had been extra careful, and the hadn't tried for a another. It was also during this time that Returu acquired Origin and Raiga, as well as having a new birth amongst her draks. For reasons unknown, the 'bubble collapsed after 5 years, allowlung them to travel once more.

One of the first things they did after the bubbles collapse, was to reestablish their ties with kith and kin, and the whole family was welcomed back. Returu also learned that her family had expanded once again, and she slowly tries to keep up to date with them.

Other/Notes

The Rasa'hyne Family
The Rasa'hynes are a forgotten family, but one of great history. Their ancestors created a new and unique runic system, and their entire city was covered with them, though very few now know how to read the Sky'ralin runes. Once they ruled much of Pudaria and were at the front of many experimental magic in the fight against the the F'karr. A tragedy left the Rasa'hyne family forgotten, their City lost, forgotten and in ruins, and their lands taken by lesser families, very few remember their name now, or the true skylords that were once their allies."

The Skylords
Originally the term given to the sect of Gyrphons allied with Skyrael, upon its destruction the surviving skylords tried to erase all knowledge pertaining to Skyrael and they succeeded in making it nothing more than a myth, their task complete, they dropped their skylord title and returned to the wild. Almost a 1000 years ofter the skylords vanished, the term has reappeared and the gryphons have once again taken up the mantle of the lord of the sky.

Sealed Memories
Returu has several 'sealed' memories, these have been locked not just by Turure, but by Mahaes and Anulap as well. She cannot access them and blacks out when she does. These memories are of when she helped Garth, who's somehow traveled back in time to Skyrael to look for an important artifact that would be needed at some point, and unless it was moved would be destroyed when the City was destroyed, as there was nothing the gods could do to halt the cities destruction. Returu was used as the gods messenger at this time, and has no recollection of Garth when she met him in present day,
