Regarding Pre-Cut Images and Group Rule Changes

You have one week before I begin cleaning out the Pre-Cut Image folder. As I've said in the past, these clean-outs are not intended to offend anyone, but merely to ensure that our galleries are up to par with the

Terms and Guidelines regarding stock. From now on all pre-cut/cut out images must have their resources credited, even if it is your own image to be accepted into the group. I will begin declining uncredited submissions today.Also keep in mind that the same goes for pre-made backgrounds.

We've had a lot of submissions in the Photography section lately. Please keep in mind that we only accept submissions listed in the Resources & Stock section of

. If it is not listed in that primary category, it doesn't belong in this group, and it will not be approved. I am also considering removing the Art from our Stocks folder, and switching it over to the Group Favorites to avoid confusion.

Also, if you create stock in a fractal or 3D program like DAZ, these images must have a statement that you created them and what program you used to create them.

If the stock you submit is not a photograph, it must have resource and/or program credits on it. No Exceptions.

Now, as a stock provider, there are two people and one group you absolutely should be watching for all things regarding stock. Those are our Resources & Stock CV's, and the Stock and Resources Group. Their word is law when it comes to stock, and especially stock that enters this group.

Precut stock - all the problems :/
Precut stock is something that like Marmite, people either love, or hate. Either way it brings its own special issues to stock providers and photomanipulators alike, so I've highlighted some very important points you should take into consideration below.

Precut stock is in its very nature "EDITED" therefore its is no longer in its original photographic form and should therefore be posted to resources/clipart OR stock/premade backgrounds/.. NOT to the usual stock galleries which should be reserved for original photography that has only very minor post production edits such as exposure/brightness/contrast etc. alterations according to DA's gallery definitions.

Now, on to a subject that is a little more fun! We all get those notifications of stock use that simply knock our socks off. So if you have someone who used your stock and you think it deserves a DD, go suggest it! First make sure they fit the criteria of proper crediting/legit stock and haven't received one in the last 6 months. (It's best to check the individual DD Criteria of the CV you are submitting the suggestion to. And don't send the same suggestion to more than one CV!)
