Rarity's Original Costume

*banging head on table* bucking shoulder mane, buck shoulder mane, bucking shoulder man.
okay, maybe I should try and explain the awfulness of the bucking shoulder mane. see I ALWAYS have trouble with rarity's hair. so I used a reference this time, but sense the internet was down at the time I was making this, the only reference I had was the Episodes. wouldn't you know it, Rarity is always throwing her head from side to side>.< so unlike a smart person and just puase the video, I tried getting the general idea of the hair. the top mane came out fine but that bucking shoulder mane >.<
okay.... anyway

it's been a while sense I have had photoshop and a scanner now that I finally do again, there was one idea I've always wanted to try and that was Rarity in her original concept dress, which Laura Faust designed off of a carousel (carousel boutique, get it now?)
I've also tried a new style of pony art. the results.... eh.
apart from the horrible horrible shoulder mane, Rarity looks okay, and I"ll even grant myself that the frills of her dress looks amazing. the 'leather' looks bland and unconvincing, and the shiny top is lazzy.
still..... I'm fairly happy with this.
