The Missing Pages

Sonic and Amy one day went to visit Rob O. Hedgehog, Amy's cousin, who didn't live too far from Mobius city. Jr was going too. But he wasn't happy about it.

Jr: Why couldn't I be at Sarah's?

Sonic: Jr, we told you before, Her dad is working at the train yard and her mom is working at the hospital. Plus your mom's cousin specifically only wanted family members to come for a visit. That's why your Uncle Manic is babysitting her and her brothers.

When the family arrived, Rob was happy to see his cousin and her family.

Amy: Hey Rob.

Rob: Cuz. *hugs* I see you're family got 1 child bigger since I saw you last.

Amy: This is our daughter, Rosie.

Rob: Wow, she looks just like you.

He then turned to Jr.

Rob: Uh Jr, what's the matter?

Jr didn't say anything.

Sonic: He's mad cause he didn't want to come. He'd rather spend time with his girlfriend whom my brother is babysitting as her parents are both on jobs.

Jr walked over to the bookcase where he then noticed a book.

Jr: What's this?

He found a book titled "The Magical Adventures of Wesword the Wonderous Adventurer"

Rob: Oh, that's a book I read when I was your age. Why don't you read it?

Jr: Uh. Well, I got nothing else to do.

So Jr went to a seat and opened the book and began reading.

Jr reading: Once, there was a hedgehog named Wesword the Wonderous Adventurer. He had gold fur and wore a safari outfit. He was fearless. He was exploring a jungle looking for a very special treasure. This treasure would be the talk of the century. There were a lot of dangerous animals in the jungle.

Wesword: This is going to be bad. Well, hopefully I won't make any of them so angry they'll...

Jr reading: Just then, he stepped on a panther's tail and made it angry. It's growl got the attention it got the attention of other ferocious animals. Wesword started to run and the animals ran after him. He then came to a dead end. He first looked at the animals coming towards him and then turned back at the gorge and saw a vine on the other side. But it was to far away for him to reach. He then got an idea. He pulled one of the quills from his back and used it like a boomerang and threw it towards the vine. The vine then cut and made it into a swinging rope. Wesword used it to swing across the gorge. Once he got on the other side, he looked back at the animals who now couldn't reach him.

Sonic: Jr.

Jr: What?

Sonic: It's time to go home.

Jr: Oh, I was just enjoying the story.

Rob: You can keep the book. I haven't read it for years and I don't think I'll ever read it again.  Plus it's so old, they're hard to come by.

Jr: OK. Thank you, Rob.

A couple of pages then fell out of the book. Jr got the pages and put them in his pockets. They then went home. On the way home, Jr continued to read.

Jr reading: So Wesword then saw a pyramid.

Wesword: The treasure I'm looking for should be in that pyramid.

Jr reading: So he went towards the pyramid. Inside the pyramid he saw some tiles that had pictures of animals. On the other side of the pyramid was the treasure he was looking for. It was a ruby hedgehog stature. But he had to feeling that the floor was booby trapped.

Wesword: All these animals I think have something in common. They're all predators except.....cows.

Jr reading: So Wesword stepped onto the cow tiles that did nothing and made it to the other side. He got the ruby hedgehog statue.

Wesword: I finally found it.

Jr reading: Just then, the temple began to collapse. He had to get out, but the tiles all fell into the floor showing underneath was lava. He then saw a gap in the ceiling. He had to jump into the gap. So he jumped onto some of the collapsed rumble and made it out. But then he was blown through the air. Luckily, he landed safely onto the ground.

Wesword: Few, that was close.

Jr reading: But then he saw that the statue landed into the river and started to float away. He tried to go after it. It floated too fast.

Wesword: I got to go after it.

Jr reading: He then looked to his left and saw a tree that collapsed.

Wesword: Hmmm. Maybe I can make a boat out of this.

Jr: reading: So he began carving a boat out of the tree and then started rowing down the river. He tried to grab the statue, but it drifted faster. Then he saw it going into a cave his boat couldn't fit through.

Wesword: How am I going to...

But then, Jr noticed that the next pages were missing.

Jr: Oh dear, where did I leave those pages?

By then, he was in his bedroom, I apologize that I didn't mention that. Too much rapped up into the storybook. Then he remembered they were in his pockets. He then hurried to the laundry room to look for the pages.

Jr: Hey dad, where are the pants I was wearing today?

Sonic: I already put them into the washer.

Jr: NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! How will I ever find out if Wesword got the statue back.

Sonic: Huh?

Jr: The story book Rob gave me. Earlier, the last pages dropped out of the book and I put them in my pockets.

Sonic: Oh. You mean these?

Sonic showed some pages that looked like the pages that fell out of the book.

Jr: Where did you find those?

Sonic: Well, I think I never told you this story. Long time ago, I was washing your mother's clothes and she had a coupon in one of her pockets. I washed them and the coupon got ruined. She wasn't mad at me, but I was scared it would happen again. So whenever I do the laundry, I always look into the pockets to see if there is anything in them. I had a feeling they were important.

Jr: They are. I need them to finish the book I was reading. Thank you for getting them pages back.

Sonic: You're welcome, son.

So Jr went back to his room to finish the story.

Wesword: ...get that statue back.

Jr reading: He then jumped out of the boat and started to swim towards the statue.

Wesword: I-------------------------got it!

Jr reading: He then noticed that he was going towards the cave. He then saw a place for him to get out and was back onto shore.

Wesword: Oh my. My clothes are soaked. But I got the statue.

Jr reading: And so, Wesword took the statue to a museum and was paid money for it. Wow. Awesome. I wonder if there was ever a sequel.

The end
