You two sat in the main room. His smile faded and he suddenly became very serious.
"As I said....it's apparent your mother did not tell you something vital about her
, and her husband. You won't believe this, but I can prove it. Also, you can't tell a souls ye-hehe...listen carefully. Your mother was a grim reaper, a shinigami, as was your father..." He took a sip of his tea. "They probably wanted to wait until they thought you could handle this, love,  but you seem quite capable of understanding such a simple concept.

"Shinigami? Meaning death gods?" You grew stiff. "That means..."

"Yep, that means you are too...it also means that your mothers death was anything but ordinary. Se was killed by someone else's death scythe. This is generally quite against the rules...and I know your mother wouldn't have deserved such a cruel death, or death anyway..." He smiled once again. "Though, your mother entrusted me sixteen years ago to watch over you If anything were to happen. It may not sound pleasant to live in a place such as this, but it has it's perks..."

"Are you serious? Then...w-what do I do? If I'm a d-death god? I don't want to be,..but, what do I need to do?" You felt your body begin to quiver.

"Simple. You attend school. And since your mother was quite famous, and as I am the most known shinigami in the history of such...you should have no problem whatsoever fitting in....I also see that you already have glasses, as did both of your parents. Your double-irised eyes, more piercing than a wolf also gives it straight away...I'm surprised you never noticed these things about yourself..." He laughed again.

"I'm surprised too...this happened too fast."

"Life often does, m'sweet. I'd suggest you get your things. You'll be staying with me, now..." He stood up. Along back to the coffin. "Now excuse me,..I've yet to rest. Wake me when you've gotten all your things." He closed the coffin door upon entering. Your entire life changed in one afternoon.
