PLEASE READ! This is really important!!

Each years tens of thousands of elephants are slaughtered in Africa to get their ivory tusks and sell them in Thailand, the biggest unregulated market for ivory in the world.
The absurd thing is that in Thailand, elephants are sacred animals and it is agains the law to sell ivory from African elephants, whilst ivory from domestic Thai elephants can be sold legally. As a result, massive quantities of illegal African ivory are being laundered through Thai shops.
During a meeting with representatives from 176 countries, WWF will present to Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, a request to ban ivory trade and save Africa's elephants! 1 million signatures are needed!!

Eeren's Features: Christmas Feature!Hello everybody!
Christmas is here and since during this time of the year everybody is good and full of joy (or at least should be), I decided to make a special journal to feature some of the amazing artists I've discovered in the last months that deserve much more attention!
I didn't do any particular genre selection; they all have less (or much less) than 25k pageviews,  but that wasn't something I paid attention to while selecting them. I decided to do this feature two months ago, I think, and since then I've been collecting "candidates".
I chose these artists because their works are amazing, I love their technique and stiles, because I think that they are really talented and could be an inspiration for many of you, as they were for me.

Unfortunately Spreading Semi-Realism appreciation!Hello everybody,
and welcome to my new art feature. This time I've decided to dedicate this space, to a particular genre of illustration: Semi-Realism. Doing so, I want to support WendiBones's campaign to spread the appreciation for this style, that doesn't get the attention it deserves.
This is probably my favorite style, the one I'm trying to use more and the one I'd like to refine and make my own, more than any other style.
WHAT IS "SEMI-REALISM"?
It is a drawing style derived from mangas, which tries to represent anatomy, faces, eyes and people in general, in a more realistic way. This means that even if the physiognomy of the characters or their body features might seem unrealistic, they tend to maintain and represent characteristics that bring the style much nearer to a "traditional" portrait, than to a manga illustration.
It might be considered the style which fills the gap between manga and the digital painting.
IS IT MORE DIFFICULT THAN OTHER STYLES?

This time I decided to dedicate this feature to a particular and much more precise theme: hair!
Many people keep asking me how I draw my hair and when I browse other artists' deviantions hair is always one of the most eye-catching things for me (and for many other users, for what I can deduce from the comments)!
So... let's try to unveil the secret of hair together!

Since ancient times, hair has not only been a defense against cold, but it also has had great social significance for human beings.
It grows on most external areas of the human body and the highly visible differences between male and female facial hair are a notable secondary sex characteristic.
Hair has always been a sign of social and health status: they can represent ethnic ancestry, the growth of facial hair is a sign of puberty in men, while white hair or baldness are signs of age or genetics.

Not only hair may be a symbol, but the way it is styled can surely
