Napier's Golden Rule n' Shizz

We ask any complaints or concerns be sent directly to the group. Issues will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

If there's a serious issue or offense, we will talk to the member in question about it. If the group does not believe there has been adequate resolution, the offender is banned; if resolution is reached, we all kiss and make up. No yellow cards, no nine lives, no nonesense.

We're all just here to have fun, if you can't behave yourself you're not welcome here.

  1. Thou shalt not be a big meany-pants
  2. Thou shalt rub thine two or more braincells together
  3. Thou shalt accept thine stupid-tax with grace

Misc. Info

Crossbreeding :

Crossbreeding is allowed, and any horses with Valorteen lineage (no matter how removed) may be submitted to the Crossbreed References folder. Crossbred progeny will never result in a pure foal. Crossbreeds may not be branded with the hidden-star brand. Regarding crossbreeding to breeds that disallow crossbreeding; obviously we cannot protect you from any backlash from another breed, however Valorteen is indifferent to 'illegal' crossbreeding and you will not be penalized by us.

Payment Disputes :

Regarding horse and slot sales, the group strongly encourages all sellers to require full payment before transferring a horse, or setting slots as usable. The group also strongly encourages buyers to get proof of the agreed upon price before commencing with their payment. Regarding other payment disputes, these will once again be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Private-Rules :

The group will not enforce private rules. You are free to contact the group with concerns and complaints, which will be handled on a case-by-case basis, but we are not going to go banning someone or reclaiming a horse because 1234HorsyRandomnessLULZ disobeyed rule #37 in that journal you have buried somewhere on your account.
We encourage members to be as liberal in their breeding rules as possible- it makes everything less stressful and a lot more fun for all of us. If you do choose to have your own set of private-rules, then we encourage you to make them concise (no more than 3-5 rules, no more than a sentence each), and have them easily accessible (link to them on your page, your stable page, your journals, your refs, etc.). Remember: even the most well meaning of people can't abide by your rules if they can't find them!

Reclaims :

Reclaims are not a thing. Once you've sold something, it's sold- no take backs. There are no deadlines for designs or refs - as stated above - so if someone buys your horse to let it sit, that's their prerogative. You are free to inquire about re-purchasing the horse from the new owner, but the group will not take official action. If you want control over a horse, don't sell it.
In the event that a member is banned or a horse/ID is abandoned, the previous owner(s) will be contacted from newest to oldest. In the event the horse is not claimed by a previous owner, the owners of the sire and dam at the time of breeding will be contacted, and lastly the current owners of the sire and dam. If the horse is still not claimed, the group will rehome it.

Seller Imposed Restrictions :

The group strongly frowns upon sellers attempting to restrict or impinge what buyers do with slots or horses. Buyers are free to breed-out, resell, etc. as they see fit. Obviously, arrangements and agreements can be made without the group's consent, however if the group sees a seller attempting to bully their buyer in this manner the seller will be swiftly reprimanded.

Time-Limits :

There are no time limits on breedings, designs, refs, etc. The group does however reserve the right to reclaim abandoned horses or IDs.
