Hey there CAC fans! As we explained on our latest episode, we're planning a double-header OC extravaganza and we want your help! This is the journal which contains all the information, rules and everything else about these upcoming episodes and how you can submit your own pieces of art for us to take a look at.

Information

We'll be having two OC episodes, split up into two distinct themes:

#1 - "OCs: How to"
Airdate: Tuesday, March 5th, 9pm EST
This episode will be of a strange format. We'll be taking a more structured approach to how OCs are made, why they are made, what makes an OC "good" or "bad", as well as techniques to improve the reception and creation of your Original Character. We'll also be discussing the differences between "Ponysonas", "Open-Themed OCs" and "Show-Themed OCs". This episode will include a lot of theory and personal contributions, but this is NOT the episode you are submitting for.

#2 - "OC: Examples"
Airdate: Tuesday, March 12th, 9pm EST
Now THIS is the episode you want to submit for. In this episode, we'll be using the wonderful examples submitted by you guys to re-establish and confirm the differences in OCs. This is a more art-focused episode, whereas the last one was more knowledge-focused.

Submission Rules/Guidelines

#1: The art submitted must be of your personal OC. Please do NOT submit artwork done of us, or any other "well-known" OCs (such as Sibsy or MandoPony).

#2: The art submitted must be made by you. The whole point of the episode is to get you all more involved, so please do not send in any submissions that you've commissioned/requested/been gifted etc.

#3: The art submitted should be made within the time-period we are allowing these submissions. We would heavily prefer that if you already have a piece done, to please make another. We want this to be a motivation for our fans, and we feel that having a piece already done takes away from this. This is not a hard rule, but your piece would have to be something fantastic in order to circumvent this.

#4: We would prefer the piece to be focusing on your OC. Please try to avoid putting your OC in with show characters, or other characters I mentioned above in Rule #1. We are slightly more lenient on this rule, but please try and keep it focused on your pony. This (and the above rule) will affect how we choose submissions to be had on the show.

#5: This is a PG show, and as such we'll be only featuring pieces that fit that theme. This means no "mature" or "suggestive" pieces, and even limits from use of blood. This is non-negotiable. It's a happy show about prancing ponies, so keep with that theme and we'll all be cheery.

Submission Instructions

Please send all submission into our email CutieArtCrusaders@gmail.com by March 1st. The subject line of the email must contain the word OC in the title. This part is very, very essential as we put in filters in our email system that picks out emails with that word in it. Edit: We encourage everyone to upload their pictures to their personal pages (DA) and send us a link, so we can link it in our favourites folders, and also so we can promote YOU!

Also keep in mind that, unlike our fan art episode, we cannot guarantee you will have your art piece on the show. We haven't decided how many piece we'll feature on the episode (it's dependant on the time available), but we will be picking and choosing pieces for this episode.
