Briana Shepard had survived. The Catalist accepted her choice to destroy the Reapers and at the last moment sent her back to Earth the same way she got on to the Citadel. She was found unconscious among the wreckage, but was back on her feet fairly quickly - the Cerberus implants worked to the last, even though they failed right after the Citadel exploded.
The Galaxy won't be the same any time soon. It will take years for the famous Normandy to land on her Captain's homeworld (these restless guys, urged on by Garrus, will jump from planet to planet). Joker will look at Briana reproachfully for depriving his beloved of her new body, and EDI will once again be only the voice with a hologram (nuts to you, Bioware, I've got happy-end for mister Moreau!). But all this will not be important anymore... Because the war had ended.

i think that EDI's body could just be...rebooted? no that is not the right word but it seems to me that when the destroy option is chosen the reapers just "shut down" and could be restarted again the same could theoretically have happened to Edi and the Geth so they could be brought back as well.
