Otherworld Attack Pt. 1"Dammit, Viola! Why am I involved in crap like this?!" Trey yelled as he finished his fusing. He had a diamond from the jewelry store on/as his torso, a fallen jet engine replaced his legs and both his arms were blades. He was flying and slicing away at the bugs that appeared out of nowhere.
"Because you were nearby and you secretly love this as much as I do!" Laughed Lady Blitz as she plowed through a group like an airborne juggernaut.
"Where did these things come from, why here, and why during my lunch break?"
"I'll bet it has something to do with that huge aircraft carrier up there. They are following it!"
"Genius detective Lady Blitz does it again."
She rolled her eyes at his sarcasm. She knew they had to get up there, but her plan to get inside required the lazy bum's help. If anything, he was reliable in things he actually tried.
"I'd really appreciate it if you help me get to that air carrier." She said.
"What?! There's a crap-load of super hum Otherworld Attack Pt. 2Lady Blitz was punching up a storm as she used her momentum to throw blindingly fast, powerful blows that tore bug after bug apart before they could blink one of their many eyes. She went into a charge to take out a cluster like a bowling ball. She let out a howl of laughter as her usual enjoyment of the rush emerged.
Trey heard Viola's loud laugh that could only come from a fun fight. "Well, at least she's having fun..." He snorted, raising his hands at the two people before him.
"Who are you and how did you get in here?!" The woman demanded.
"Um...I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that it may incriminate me." He answered.
"Bull! You are on a restricted craft going through classified...."
"Are you Trey Forsworth?" Piped up the man.
"uh...no, I'm...Jack...Metal...son...."
"Nice try."
"Okay, but how do you know my name?"
"Seeing how you don't recognize me, I guess you are not Killazoa here with the bugs."
"Who? You mean that guy who's under my name on these....?"

The Verminites were sprawling from out of the dimensional portal, blasting away at the populous below. As mindless drones, they don't care who gets caught in the crossfire, just so that there is mass destruction involved. Every moment they exist, they continue to threaten the lives of everyone. Unfortunately, the problem is too big for one hero to handle.
Good thing there is more than one hero taking them on.
For instance, the pint-sized powerhouse known as Firefly. While her shrinking ability might get people to scratch their heads, she is packing plenty of fire power in her mechanical gauntlets. Still, these were big machines, even when she was normal size, and she was only just a few inches in height compared to them.
"Need to up the juice on this one." thought Firefly. Soaring through the air like the little bug she was, she pressed a few buttons on her gauntlets to adjust the intensity of her energy blasts. The battle with the verminites continues it would seem as one falls three more verminites appear out the portal over the city. While below the people is in panic as  destruction goes from building to building. The heroes were splitted from the ones that defended and the others that went on the offensive, the civilians are led to safety all but the one who slept through the end of the world. Barcode awakes to a bright light shinning through his window he quickly shield his eye due to the headache he received from his normal vigilante night.
" Who turn up the sun...Don't they know/ yawwwwn never mind."
He turns away from the light and that's when it began to flicker as if a kid was playing with a light switch. He look at his pants and then look at the window closely as the room begin to become a red lighted room he hop up and pulled the blinds to the top of its end, to see his life flashes before his eyes and his ap Otherworld Attack Pt 3Meanwhile, a very disgruntled Tanuki spirit was waking up from a disturbed nap...in a crevice of the airship. He climbed onto the roof, rubbing his head.
"Huh...was this an airship? Thought it was little big to fly..." He looked around, suddenly noticing the chaos around him, "Bugs? Robot bugs? Well, if this is an attack, the enemy picked an efficient genus to copy...still..."
He began to spin his staff above his head, whipping up a cyclone that dragged in a load of bugs (and, accidentally, a few heroes) and then slammed his staff on the ground, blowing the robots apart but only blowing the living beings backwards.
"What do you think you're doing?!" Came the voice of a Blonde Woman landing on the roof, "Are you Ra-Koo!?"
"Ra Who?" Tanook replied, "My name is Tanook!" He then grinned, "Man, I just noticed this place is swarming with beautiful women as much as bugs! Whatever's going on, let me help!"
The woman sighed, "All these counterparts...This one's a little uncertain..."

Bugs.  What was she?  An exterminator?  Threadjacker reached up and pressed her fingers to her forehead when the warning call came out.  The creatures were definitely numerous, and they all had one thing in common that she found incredibly annoying.  They were all flying.  
Muttering something appropriately foul that even she didn't hear in the midst of the din of battle joined, Alexandra moved out into the midst of the confusion.  She could see the heroes assembling in every direction, moving to take on the nearly countless swarms of those metallic beasts.  It was at that moment that she felt her most useless.  There was one thing she wasn't able to do right about then that would have helped a great deal in this situation.
Fly.

Right about that moment, Threadjacker could think of several curses to lay down.  One hand pressed to her side and she could feel the heat of the sear and burn, the pain in her rib.  She was just glad she hadn't punctured a lung right then, or she'd be in serious trouble.  But, staring at a Verminite not more than a few feet away wasn't exactly good for her health, and she felt like the Schlemiel at this little dinner gathering, staring at a blaster pointed straight at her head.
She wasn't the sort to scream, though.  Practically hearing 42X's field reports about how cocky she could get, how often she could be a risk to any mission by getting herself into trouble or taking undue risks, she gritted her teeth and howled in anger and pain.  The beam fired and the world just seemed to stop as she held out one hand. :thumb355111735: Other world chapter two part 1Other world chapter two part One  Pest control

She rolled her eyes  pointing her wand at them and mumbled under her breath”Insides  of the Verminites turn  to flowers." There was a blast form her wand. The Verminites  falling to the ground and exploding into a shower of sweet smelling Flowers. ”There isn't that much better then going around Zapping everyone you nasty things?”

There's a good girl now run along” Otherworld: Pest Control“Where is a giant bug zapper when you need one,” Kriss remarked as she observed the robotic bugs.
These machines, called Verminites, were from the same parallel world Kriss would end up going to in order to save it from a powerful group called Deathwatch. She noticed the other heroes, who joined up for this, taking the fight to the invading drones. The Verminites flew higher than Kriss could jump plus her weaponry wasn’t as advanced as others nor were her abilities useful for ranged attacks.
“This is what I get for packing light,” she muttered to herself, “And I guess there weren’t available jetpacks for the flightless among us.”
Prior to engaging the Verminites, the heroes were informed about the drones’ weakness from Syndrome, one the heroes from the parallel world. With the location of the weak spots, Kriss just needed some way to reach the swarm.     With another gunshot, another verminite fell to Agent 42X’s firearm, and he began to bank around for another pass. Then his radio crackled to life. “Slade, be advised, our radar scans are showing something big closing in on our location.”
    “How big?”
    “That’s the thing. It appears to cycle between a couple of sizes every second or so. Best guess is that it’s larger than an F-22. Keep your eye’s peeled.”
    “Roger that.” However, as he finished turning back toward the astrocarrier, he was met with the sight of a wall of flame rushing towards him. Too close to dodge and moving too fast to stop, Jonathan did the only thing he could – brace. A few seconds later, he felt the expected heat, but, surprisingly, it did not reach an uncomfortable level.
