My notes.
That is what my notebook reads at the very beginning, in my own crude writing.
But, these are not just normal notes.
These notes are the kind of notes that are too messy to type.
The puzzle pieces that create a masterpiece of words, each signed by me.
These are the things that make people wonder how my mind works- and if I have any sanity left within it.
These messy notes are written from pure inspiration, determination, and imagination.
These broken parts come together and create a world all my own, where I escape to every day.
It’s a world filled with color and vibrancy, much unlike the uneventful world around us.
And within these pages I have the power to transport you anywhere I wish, at any time or place.
I can make you feel any feeling, with just a piece of paper, pen, and my trained mind.
This notebook contains all the dreams and fantasies I have ever had- the impossible, strange, unheard, and bizarre.
These are the things only my unique mind could ever conger, consider, or even imagine.
This is the work of a crazed madwoman who puts her perspective and hallucinations into words.
And sometimes when I write in this notebook, I loose myself in its pages.
And the only things I return with are the words I create in my trance.
And the product of these words is a maze of wonders, filled with twists, turns, falls, and rises.
And the only one with the map of this phrased labyrinth is me.
Logic, myth, thought, sense, and wonder fill every page.
This is my notebook.
This is my mind’s wild illusions and fantasies jotted down onto paper for all to see.
These pages contain the product of my daydreams and visions, scribbled into quick notes as they flow freely from my mind.
But, if you put these chaotic notes together, they form something bigger, and grander.
These notes create something that every writer tries to make, share, and spread.
These notes create my story.

I was writing the other day, and my creative juices were flowing, so I decided to try and write a little free verse about how I feel when I write. This is the product, and it truly is what I feel. This is my song, because I am a writer.
Fellow writers, I hope you feel like this poem is familiar and true because maybe this is what you feel inside when you write as well. And for those who do not write, this is a little look at what it feels like to be a writer. It is magical, and I wouldn't want to be any place in the world more then with my nose buried in my notebook, scribbling the plot line or jotting down some ideas. Because it all starts, with a notebook.
