Action Bastion

I think memes are terrific little workouts to stretch my drawing abilities, and I haven't done one in a long time. So today I give you Action Bastion, the special monk! Bastion was my monk character from an Eberron D&D 3.5 game a year or so ago, and he became one of my favorite characters! There were two things I didn't think about before choosing Bastion as the subject of this meme. First, I didn't realize just what a hunk of mancandy Bastion is. (Dear god, what is it about bald men that I love so much?) Second, I didn't realize how many times I was going to have to draw his crotch in detail. x__x

cool pose: what could be cooler than a levitating monk?
kick: this was tougher than I anticipated, if only because of the narrow block to draw in the meme provides. This almost guarantees you can't give it a flat side shot, so I was forced to try some perspective--which I always need more work on, so it's all good!
punch: I think Bastion's fist might be breaking the sound barrier there...
spin kick: Had to google up pictures of Jackie Chan to even BEGIN to figure out the pose of a spin kick. Gotta love Jackie Chan!
weapon of choice: "muh mits." Bastion once punched a silver dragon to death with his naked fists. True story.
mundane to epic: ANGRY MONK TEA ATTACK!
falling: He'll enjoy the tea as his class ability "slow fall" kicks in.
banzai: 'nuff said.
