The Devil's Angel

I've been re-reading New Trials lately, and I decided I wanted to draw these two. I haven't drawn Meilin in a while. This is my second time drawing her, and my second drawing Kai. The theme behind this pic is basically to show off their relationship. Kai: formerly known as the Kaitou Magician, the lone thief of the night, and Meilin: the rare member of the Li Clan with no powers, still half pinning for her dear cousin, half falling for the annoying yet somber boy with soft blue eyes constantly hid by sun glasses. Sometimes she refuses to admit her feelings for him, but Meilin always watches out for Kai. It's obvious she loves him, and Kai truly cares for Meilin too. I really do think that it was because he met Meilin that Kai returned to a normal school life, returned to his family, and did everything he could to become the brother that Miho deserved. True, Sakura no doubt had some effect on him as well, but over all I really do believe that Meilin is the true reason Kai has turned his life around for the better. Over all, she is his guardian angel.

On a side note, I decided to draw Meilin with her hair down for two reasons. The first is obvious, she looks really pretty with her hair down. But the main reason is because of New Trials. Kai mentioned to Meilin when she first met about her hair, basically teasing her about how she looks like a Sailor Moon wannabe. And then latter on Kai took her out before she had to return from her visit to Hong Kong, and she decided to wear her hair down because of what he said. Because of that, a lot of NT fans draw her with her hair down.

Also on a side note, a reminder to those following the CD Drama.

We are still looking for voice actors, and while I may have a friend willing to play him, I have not gotten a definite answer and we are in desperate need of a Syaoran. If there are any guys out there willing to play him, everyone of us involved would greatly appreciate it. It is not a requirement, but being able to sing would be a big bonus in helping you get the part, as we don't have any male singers to sing his song for the Star Crossed auditions.

Also, a request to artists, for the YouTube version I'd like for someone willing and able to help with creating backgrounds. If you are good at drawing scenery and would like to share your tallent and possibly reach a whole new set of viewers, we would greatly appreciate your help.
