Summer Holidays
I'm on leave for a few weeks.
Anyway, I just wanted to give everyone's a head's up if I'm a bit slow to respond; it just means I don't have an Internet connection.
The art features will be on hold in the meantime. See you in a month.
Of Rifts and Regrets
My aunt died today.
I wasn't particularly close to her and her passing wasn't totally unexpected, but I'm upset regardless. This is because when she died, she was alone.
That's not totally accurate. In a physical sense, at the moment of her death, she had her family with her: my mother, her husband and son, and her siblings. But she was alone when she last saw the world; for years she was estranged from her husband and son, and had managed to almost alienate the rest of her family. She was alone when she fell or collapsed in the street; some stranger called 911 and the hospital managed to track down her brother for emergency surgery. She fe
Art Theft 101: A Lesson in What Not to Do
Well hell ... I actually discovered an art thief. :omg:
Art theft was always something I saw after-the-fact and as a bystander. I knew about it, I heard about it and I've seen the dArama that occurs before, during and after the takedown. Wonderful Watchers' Work #4
This month I decided to focus primarily on photography (including stock). My husband helped me finalize the works to be featured, because if it was solely left up to me, I would feature everything. :XD: Anyway, hope you guys like this month's feature.

Oh sounds fun! You two enjoy yourselves!!!!!!!
I am totally jealous! And I read your comment-- I sincerely hope it does inspire art!
I have always been a fanatic for Cirque du Soleil though have never gone due to never seeming to be in town when they come. I even at one point enrolled myself in Circus School to practice my flexibility and contortion.
You'll have to give us a FULL review of how the show was when you get back!
And as I said before, HAVE FUN!
