This character sort of came to me in a dream. He seems to be a cobbled up conglomeration of different species and he is vastly intelligent and old. Perhaps the precursor of all of Earth's life in fact. He doesn't speak in a vocal language but his mouth is capable of making sounds.
I also have a fully armored design for him but I don't think I ever uploaded it.
So anyways the first two sentences are really what happened in my dream, nothing nearly as ominous as this happened, just embellishment mostly.

I woke up within my dream, all was dark around me and I stood up and saw what was around me. I was in a dim-lit hallway of some ancient and burned out building.
There to the end of it was an inhuman man standing before me, like an apparation from a nightmare he, or it. Wore a black cloak to cover himself. Yet strangely there was no sense of menace from this foreboding creature, I felt as if he wanted to show me something.
So I came near and saw he was looking out at a window of the building we were in. As far as the eye could see the world was entirely grey and black as if a great and ancient fire had consumed all life in it's path centuries ago. He then turned to me and I seemed to feel as if he had said "Look at what you have done."
