I just want to sort of explain this because it's sort of a pet peeve of mine when I see it around lol.

There are TWO point + USD equivalents.
Not just one.

80 :points: = $1.00 ONLY IF:
-You are BUYING POINTS or if you are using points to buy/sell PRINTS or other dA MERCHANDISE.

100 :points: = $1.00 ONLY IF:
-You are turning points into USD via PREMIUM DOWNLOAD or COMMISSIONS WIDGET.

:bulletblack: Why is this?
-deviantART will ALWAYS take a 20% cut out of whatever you RECEIVE whenever you use dA to process anything that has to do with points going into USD or vice versa.

You feel that 20% whenever you buy points or a print or anything else with USD, because you're only getting 80points per dollar.
And if you look for yourself, on your commissions widget or in the premium download options, 100points = $1.00 to make up for that 20% lost by dA taking its cut.

SO:
Prints, Merchandise, Buying Points ---> 80 :points: = $1.00
Commissions Widget, Premium Download ---> 100 :points: = $1.00

SO YEP. I'm not telling you how to price your conversions lol, but I'm just saying, it's easier to add or subtract 100s together, rather than 80s.

ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
I got a question a couple days ago on my points to USD tutorial and I figure it'd be good to copy the answer here, since it explains things to do with turning money you've converted back into points, and why it's then 80points per $1 instead of 100points.
Q: "But even if you get points the normal way, won't Deviantart take 20% anyway? Doesn't Deviantart always take 20% when you withdraw points into money no matter what?"
A: If you transfer points into money, yes, it will take 20%. Which only means that instead of $1.00 = 80 Points you now have to look at it as $1.00 = 100 Points and charge accordingly.
Any time you set up a premium download or a commissions widget, dA automatically takes into account the 20% difference and when you go to type in your price, it will show as 100 Points = $1.00 (instead of 80points equaling $1, like when you BUY points).
Say you sell something for 500points and have waited your two-week processing time and are ready to withdraw the money. You WILL receive $5.00, no more and no less, for that 500points because the 20% was already factored in before you even initially set the price.
What I was trying to clarify previously was if you want points and only points, no money, then you shouldn't use the commissions widget or premium download to take those points (and should use the donation pool/etc instead) because not only will you have to wait two weeks, but instead of getting 100points per $1, you'll be getting 80points per $1.
The REASON for that difference is this:
Any time you buy something from deviantART, dA will take a 20% processing fee from whatever you RECEIVE. When you use the premium download to take points from other deviants, it automatically processes the points and turns it into withdraw-able currency. When you take them back out as points again, you are essentially buying the points from dA (like if you were to buy points normally) because the points you initially received now exist as currency, not points. You are buying the points, that's why the 20% is there.
$1 = 80points ONLY WHEN:
You buy points, you buy prints, you buy dA merchandise, you sell prints.
$1 = 100points ONLY WHEN:
You sell premium downloads or use a commissions widget.

I want to make commissions, but without the Commission widget. And I don't need to convert the points. I just feel bad to take so many points from the one who gives me the points. But should I do 100 points or 80?
