BACKGROUND

After Stan and Shalia are assassinated, Reily was supposed to have custody of Candi, Miriam, and Marina. However, he turned his back on those duties. Erin decided on gaining full custody of Miriam and Marina, and having joint custody of Candi with Imaki Izuki, her godfather. Marina was always a bit of a strange duck, a combination of Grandpa Dwayne's impulsiveness and Grandma Marissa's sweetness. And while her sisters didn't like to exclude her, she was never as close with them as Candi and Miriam were with each other.

In this scene, a young Candi Flippo shares her concerns with Miriam about the increasingly hostile and hyper-sexualized climate at their school.
