古き軒端の
しのぶにも

なほあまりある
むかしなりけり

Poem 100 from 小倉百人一首 (Ogura Hyakunin Isshu; 100 Japanese poems). heh-heh. Mouse over for romanji. Emperor Juntoku reminiscing that, with as many stones paving his palace floor and as many vines in the eaves, old memories are more.

Infinity is torment for those living in the past.
