Nomination + Voting Guide
Wanna nomate an OC? Wanna vote for your favorite?
Not sure what formula to use when nominating an OC? Perhaps you would like some pointers to decide how to vote for an OC. Well, we're glad to help you get there, with the OC's of the Month Nomination & Voting Guide. To make nominations run efficiantly, we've made this short guide to do just that.
NOTE: This guide was NOT made to offend anyone, anyone's OC, or anyone's method of nominating and voting. These are just some tips. If you want to nominate and/or vote with your own knowledge, then that's okay. :3
Handy-Dandy Nomination Tips
As I said earlier, I'd like to keep things running smoothly. Being reasonable with your nominations helps a lot, so I've put together these tips to keep in mind while doing so.
Find a good picture of the OC. It doesn't have to be a detailed, crystal clear Michelangelo-like drawing. A simple-ol' pic of the OC will do the trick, as long as I can recognize how the OC is suppose to look.
Try to nominate a pony that isn't uber-famous already. To be sure every OC gets their spotlight, try to nomate somepony with little or no fame at all. Even though there are no specific requirements for nominating OC's, we trust that you nominate unknown OC's.
If the OC has some sort of a description, this would be fantastic! It doesn't have to have a mile-long description. Just a short paragraph about the OC is fine. This gives voters an idea of the OC's personality and backstory.
Voting for OC's
To contribute to being fair, here are a couple of tips to keep in mind while voting.
Be sure to be open-minded about nominated OC's. Not only look at the design of the OC, but also the description, and vise versa.
Try your best to stay away from bias. It's really sweet of you to vote for your friend's OC, but it would be in the best interest to be 100% bias-free. :3
That pretty much wraps up the guide!
Thank you for taking the time to read the guide. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns about these categories, feel free to comment on this journal, and either Arishy (ArishyIbrony), Turtle (MonsterTurtle), or I (Funniangelo) will be more than happy to reply back. Have a wonderful day, everypony, and good luck!
UPDATE
Just a quick update. We'll start voting, soon. It's just that we've been a bit busy, so hang ten. ^^
