Always be kind...

This is a German saying my Mom taught me when I was a little child. Translated into English one could say something like "Always be kind but never too gentle or else the wolves will get insolent" (but sadly, in English the original's nice rhyme form gets lost). It means that it's important to be kind to others but everything in moderation - because otherwise soon everyone will think that they can do to you what they want. So beware of it.

I always liked this saying and as a child I often drew nice little girls feeding big wolves in dark forests and wrote these words on the pictures. Well... I still like it. Old love does not rust
