I have been saying for quite some time that I have no idea why so many of you choose to watch and be interested in my work. Often the response comes from you that it's talent, but I am adamant that is not the answer. When I browse the Artisan galleries, I see so many skilled artisans getting next to no recognition for their work. Artists who are after much more skilled that I am, some to the point of being professionals in their field.

You have all given me so much, and I want to give back to the community as much as I can. Now that there's over 1 and a half thousand of you watching, I feel my audience is large enough for a series of feature journals to make some difference. They will be themed, and often feature under-appreciated Artisan crafters, but not exclusively. I'm also going to keep the number of features within the article small, as I feel features that have a page full of of thumbs means a lot of work gets lost. Please do feel free to give me feedback at any stage as to how I can improve the featuring experience for all

If you like the work I feature, I hope you will visit them and share with them some of the love and adoration you've been kind enough to give me.

Today, I'm going to begin with glass. The shimmering, glistening works of art that so easily captures the eye and transfixes the mind.

Some engrave it. Some flamework it. Others blow it. But all share one important quality: a skill for breathing new life into glass via this delicate medium.
