The Slow Passage of Time

Two months of tension have passed in the city of Petrichor with Oracion quietly infiltrating the city through conversion. The Spades have had nothing but trouble to deal with, riots breaking out in the oddest of places, the outer rings and borderlands filled with civil unrest. Reacting to the riots in a violent manner only brought further trouble down on the Spades heads, giving Oracion fuel to spread their influence. For a while, it seemed the military force that controlled Petrichor would be forced to overtake the citizens through violent means. But it never came to that.

Petrichor's solution to the attacks were a simple, but effective one: They called for ordinary citizens to become Peacekeepers.

Petrichor has spent the last two months bolstering their ranks with reinforcements, from citizens to Ares. Any suspicion Petrichor might regard Ares with has been overlooked until Oracion is eradicated. The Peacekeepers, temporary aligned with Spades, are ordinary citizens who have taken on an extraordinary task. These people have sworn to protect the city, the citizens and keep the peace. They are trusted by the citizen's because they, themselves, are citizens.

Oracion, slow and steady, has planted its roots inside the city. Slowly, but surely, building up their ranks and gaining favor with the people of the city. While Oracion's true number remains unknown, they certainly have the majority of the public on their side.

With the last of winter melting away, both sides prepare for the inevitable battle. Please look to your cause for further instruction.

Two months of tension driven preparation have allotted you the following:

Access to a new power if your limit hasn’t already been reached.
A new rank: P for Peacekeeper or O for Oracion. (Optional) O rank is equal to that of "W"anted rank. P is equal to that of A rank but will be more helpful in leaving the city and getting through barriers.
     +10 points (10 points = +1 NPC)

**You only have to read your section.**
Oracion members read "Loyalty to Oracion" and the "requirements" section set aside for them and vice versa for Spades/Peacekeepers. You may read everything, but it's not required or needed to participate.

All for the Cause

Loyalty to Oracion

The two months of preparation have served Oracion well. The cause is stronger than ever and the people flock to take up arms in their name. They call for justice, a true equality that Petrichor refuses to give. The false utopia, Petrichor, might have more military strength at the moment thanks to Ares, but Oracion has a quality of super that is above average and hold the people's favor.

Petrichor has encouraged supers to stay quiet, not to use their powers inside the city, and as a result, have crippled their most powerful allies. Oracion's goal over the past two months has been to grow, now that they have spread their wings it's time to begin. Oracion needs you now, they need you to spread distraction while the end pieces fall into place.

You have had two months to prepare, two months to plan how best to spread chaos in the city. Chaos is your strongest ally, use it to your advantage.

Loyalty to Petrichor

Over the course of winter Petrichor has had very little choice but to prepare for Oracion’s inevitable attack. They took a strategy that, under any other circumstance, they would have avoided. Petrichor turned to its citizens for assistance.

The city has stressed for years that powers should be in control within the dome walls, that civilization requires restraint. However, to destroy the threat the city faces, everyone will need every ounce of power they can muster. The reality of the situation has struck close to home for many. If the city falls, there is no telling what will become of the citizens of Petrichor. Family, friends... they are all in danger. If the hard won peace that Petrichor provides is going to triumph, every person must take a stand to protect the golden city.

You have had two months to prepare, train, and hone your skills with Spade assistance. Your goal is to protect the city at all costs, which can sometimes mean taking justice into your own hands.

Requirements

Oracion wants to cripple the city from the inside by creating chaos and attacking various groups and areas while they're distracted:

As an agent of Oracion, your part in the coming fight is clear:

Create Chaos

You may:

Attack any Spade or member of the enemy forces with extreme prejudice if the opportunity presents itself. (Be sure to get permission from deviant!)  Please remember that if you are identified during the attack, you will be marked as "O" and linked to Oracion. (You'll do this yourself in your application, optional.) Spades are often high level and rarely alone, but they are not invulnerable.

Every and all police force member should be considered a target, they bring order and should be taken out. They usually travel in pairs on patrol, but are poorly armed and easy targets.

Ares men are mainly concentrated outside the city, but are more of a danger than regular police since they are trained soldiers in large units. The point isn't to defeat them, but to cause a distraction. This can be accomplished by demolishing bunkers, training facilities, defeating large numbers of them or taking out their leaders. This task is located in the borderlands.

Remember: If you decide on the more violent course of action, then you do not have to attempt it alone. Your allies are all around you, take advantage of them.

You can also start riots, gather intelligence, try and convert the citizens to your worthy cause, or attack establishments that clearly show their support for the city's current officials.

Choose your victim carefully, but remember, Oracion won’t have the blood of innocent citizens on its hands. That is…if it can be helped. Stir the pot, but be careful not to burn the contents. Oracion is coming, and there is nothing anyone can do to stop them.

Key: (Lunatic = Spades, Ares Members (in large groups); Hard/Medium = Ares Members (alone, varies with skill level); Easy/Varies = Police Officers/Unguarded Government Officials/Starting Riots/Info Gathering (if you don't get caught))

Petrichor wants to protect their citizens and city by actively searching out and defeating any members of Oracion, while maintaining peace within the city.

As an agent of Petrichor, your part in the coming fight is clear:

Keep the Peace, Stop Oracion

You May:

Attack any known member of Oracion (with their creator's permission).  Should you come across any member of Oracion, you may restrain them, follow them or attempt to gather information. Contact the city's defensive forces if they are proven Oracion members. Remember, without proof that the person is part of Oracion, you cannot detain or attack any citizen of Petrichor.

Information is imperative to keeping the city safe, and patrolling helps insure that regular citizens do not come to any harm. Should you come across a riot, or anything of the sort, disperse it if at all possible. The city needs to run as it normally would, regardless of Oracion's presence. Any information gathered can be phoned into the city's hotline directly.

Beware, many members of Oracion are trying to turn the city into a pit of chaos so they can move freely. That ranges from terrorist attacks, such as attacking buildings or individuals, assassinating high ranking members of the government, starting riots, and a number of other underhanded things. You can fight, prevent attacks from happening, or do whatever you think will best protect the city.

Border patrol is especially important in times of chaos. Groups of mercenaries, raiders and other unseemly characters like to push into Petrichor's territory when their forces are distracted. You can actively assist Petrichor by hunting down these bands of people and taking them out or chasing them off. This takes place in the Borderlands, where you can open up your power and really explore it.

The term for the citizen's who assist Petrichor are, "Peacekeepers." Please do not do your city an injustice by abusing your new power. Be careful, and use your resources wisely.

Key: (Lunatic= Oracion Leaders; Hard = Hired Mercenaries, Oracion Members; Medium = Spies/Assassins; Easy/Varies = Breaking Apart Riots/Information Gathering, Other (unless you get caught))
