Literature Text

The fog wraps the buildings in,
make them seem shorter
and taller at the same time,

the cherry blossoms fall down
and are swiftly taken by the wind
along the numeorous city streets,

the clouds in the sky are heavy
with the first rain of spring,
ready to let it go -

it falls,

you don't look around,
you huddle under your umbrella
and hurry home -

you miss it all.
This poem is quite unique for being me, it wasn't inspired by my own feelings (as most my poems are) but by a picture I found online and by the song As it seems by Lily Kershaw which I had on repeat while writing and staring at the picture.

To me this poem is about all the things we miss because we don't look. It kind of is about my photo statement "I shoot treasures rarely noticed by the average person" because we're so caught up in every day life that we forget to see the magic in every day and things happening around us.

What do you think?

(no idea in what category this one fits so I picked general, if you have a suggestion do tell)
