-Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Im a 54 years old married man with three grown up children. I cannot draw or paint, I did try I was not very good, so I do computer art instead. I used to like carving wood and sculpting with clay (back problems have forced me to stop doing that). I have a passion for music, I play guitar, Bass and keyboards. I played in bands from the age of 14 up until my children were born, but I could not commit the time as I was working as a Museum
Technician as well.
-- Why have you chosen the artistic path?
I started creating computer art in the 90's (Blender, Truespace etc) Which meant I was able to create art without too much physical effort. A couple of years ago I found a link to Fractalforums and saw the art created using Mandelbulb 3D, I have been obsessed with it ever since. Jesse the creator is always adding new features so theres always something new to play with.
--How would you describe your art?
A bit of a mish mash I suppose! I like exploring different styles (Sci-fi, flora, horror, landscapes etc) I do try to evoke an emotion from the viewer whether good or bad.
--What mediums/tools do you work with?
For my fractal art I use Mandelbulb 3D, I also use Blender, TrueSpace, Photoshop, Starbits7, Universe creator, and a digital camera.
--How did you learn doing all of this? and how did you improve yourself?
Experimenting, reading tutorials. I am always trying to improve, there is always something new to learn.
--What inspires you the most?
The world around me. The sights, smells and sounds.
--Why are you attracted to Sci-Fi ?
With Sci-fi I can let my imagination run free. I do like dark art styles.

--What do you think of online communities like DeviantArt?
Online communities are good for getting feedback and spreading the word about your art. There are some very nice supportive people on DA.
--What is the most essential thing in art?
Keeping an open mind...
--What do you hope to accomplish with your work?
To bring joy, wonderment and to expand peoples imagination. Being able to make some money from my art would be nice! no luck so far...
--Do you have any advice for the aspiring artist?
Experiment, try new things, above all do not stop creating...
